The Buckland Studios

Do yoursf a favour and book a stay with David and Melany at The Buckland Studios and you wont be disappointed. Weve just spent 3 days in one of the three studios on the property. Each studio is situated well away from the other studios so you dont even know anyone else is there. David and Melany are exceptional hosts, nothing is too much of a problem.

The breakfast hamper they put together due to covid dining restrictions was perfect in every way.

It was complete with local bacon, eggs, porridge, fresh fruit, milk, freshly baked bread, nescafe coffee machine, a wide variety of tea's, plenty of jams, and spreads. You name we got it.

Two main requirements i had that were not negotiable were,

1. High quality nternet because i was running an property auction of 42 Upper Skene St Newtown on Openn Negotiation during our stay. ANd yes the auction was a complete success" so tick.

2.the studio must have an open fire or wood box to kick back and enjoy a local wine and some cheese after a day of treking through the local hills and river tracks. 'Again Tick' and more wood than we could ever need.

Trace loved the bathroom, it was big enough to be another bedroom and great views across the property to the gums trees nearby.

Yes thats me working, damn it was tough taking calls while enjoying that view of the mountains in the distance. Not!

My husband and I stayed at Buckland Studio 4 for two nights as we celebrated our 2nd wedding anniversary. To say it was an utterly romantic, relaxing and magical stay would be a complete understatement. As soon as we entered the luxurious studio we were gobsmacked by its beauty and warmth. It's styled so nicely, very well kept and just stunning in its design. The studio was cosy and warm due to the roaring fire that was put on in time for our arrival. The bathroom and huge double shower, with it's stunning view completely blew our mind. We walked through to the bedroom with its soft bedding and another stunning view. Finally, the kitchen and lounge are so well equipped we contemplated convincing the hosts to let us move into the studio forever!
The views from both balconies, of Buckland Valley and Mt Buffalo, are unrivaled.
We arrived to a gorgeous breakfast hamper waiting for us on the kitchen counter. There was also a big box of chocolates and bottle of local wine on the dining table; which Mel kindly helped me organise (at the last minute!) for our arrival!
Mel and Dave were fantastic hosts who were so accommodating and helpful. Nothing was too much and they provided tips regarding where to hire snow chains locally before we ventured up Mt Buffalo.
We can't wait to come back and soak up the serene environment that the Studio sits on.

Incredible studio & we were greeted by a bottle of wine and chocolates for our anniversary. It‘s so peaceful with stunning views and quiet surrounds.
The studio was perfect with its wood fire, double shower and all the amenities you need.
With a short drive to Mt Buffalo, Bright & Porepunkah, we were able to explore everywhere very easily.

We will be back again, and wish you all the best during these trying times (Covid19).

I would highly recommend anyone to go to the Buckland Studios and we are looking at booking a family trip up there in the coming months again!

Buckland Studios is situated in a perfect location just outside of Bright with bush to the back and rolling hills at the front, made for fantastic views in the mornings! Studio 2 itself was a perfect size for the 2 of us with excellent amenities which included a log fire (perfect for the cold days after a hike!) and a lovely deep bath in the wellness room. Despite Covid restrictions meaning breakfast facilities were unavailable, we were provided with a generous breakfast hamper on arrival as well as a couple of bottles of wine which went down a treat.we were also delivered some fresh muffins on day 2! Melany was a pleasure to deal with from the time we booked, answering all queries I had before arrival and during.

I'm not usually one to write reviews but felt impelled to after our wonderful week at the Buckland Studios. The accommodation was exceptionally comfortable, beautifully appointed and had everything we needed for 6 days. Unimpeded views of mt buffalo were some of the best we saw, and Mel and Dave were lovely hosts. Highly recommend to anyone travelling to the area.

Just got back from a wonderful weekend at The Buckland! We had the world's most relaxing stay at No 5. The views overlooking Mt Buffalo were breathtaking and could be seen from almost every point in the studio. The bed is super comfy, furnishings well-appointed and the hospitality from Mel & Dave (and Monty!) was honestly the best we've had. We will absolutely return to this beautiful patch of Australian countryside! Highly recommended!

Wonderful weekend retreat in the mountains complete with log fire, king sized bed and bath-with-a-view. Great hospitality, warm welcome and amazing baked goods from Melany and David.

A beautiful place for a mini getaway. Mel and David wonderful hosts and a lovely breakfast in a beautiful setting. A very special treat only 5 minutes from home.

The Buckland is a gorgeous place to stay and relax in the Bright area. The studios are well-appointesd, with breathtaking views of the Buckland Valley. The hosts make a great breakfast and coffee every morning. It's beautifully quiet. The studios are far enough apart that you feel like you're the only people there. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay!

Nestled ideally between the vineyard next door, open farmland with stunning views of Mount Buffalo to the side and pristine bushland adjoining behind, The Buckland truly was a retreat experience. The well appointed studio featured a hand-crafted king-size bed with all modern amenities. The views of the surrounding mountains were amazing, and the whole thing is only a short drive from the fully serviced town of Bright. Excellent experience, hope to stay again!
