The Brothers Public House reviews
15We had THE BEST fun here, Guinness and live music on Saturday nights, the vibes are 11/10.
Cosy, no frills pub with great traditional music, friendly staff, and fine Guinness. We always have a good time.
Too small. This palace needs to be bigger. Tables all squished together but great Irish ambience. Guinness is to die for
A slice of home in North Melbourne.
An absolute gem from top to bottom with some of the best priced drink I have seen in an Irish bar in Australia.
The staff (especially the manager) are great and always up for a session, while also being attentive to the clientele.
A big recommendation from myself, get yourself down for a pint or 5.
One of the best Irish pubs. Great Guinness, great staff and a friendly atmosphere with live music. Crackin
The Brothers is very likely the best Irish pub in Melbourne. Run by a passionate group of people, with Pat at the helm. The atmosphere is second to none with live music, a great gallery of regulars, and a perfectly drawn pint of Guinness in your hand. Bookings are essential after coming out of lockdown. Do yourself a favour and give the Brothers a visit.
Best Irish bar in town, the Guinness is about as good as you'll get in the southern hemisphere and Pat/Eamonn and family are all excellent. I love this place and genuinely feel it could be transplanted convincingly to Ireland. Could only be better if the lads were from Cork but won't hold that against them. Music is really good, atmosphere is fantastic; put it on the to do list.
Great little Bar, Guinness had a fine Shtick on it. Barmaid was lovely.
The “Owner” was a bit of a bell however and refused to let us back in when we nipped next door for some food. He said because we ‘were a bit noisy’ and they were about to start the music.
Never heard of an Irish bar where they ask you to whisper before! Would have been 5 star if not for him spoiling it!
I'm not in the habit of awarding 5 stars to any location on the basis that things can always be improved in some way. However, in the case of this location I think it is merited. Some bars try to be so many things but this spot is a gem. It does one thing almost perfect. It's a quiet Irish style pub. Stepping inside its no frills decor makes you feel like your in the countryside at a village pub where everyone knows everyone. If all you are after is a space to have a pint then look no further. You feel welcome and a gentle nod or handshake on your departure just encourages your return. They don't do food and some might see this as short coming but they are more than willing to let you BYO food. Personally I don't see this as a shortfall. Like I said early this spot does what it does to perfection. Its just a small village pub that you can grab a pint and have a chat while feeling very welcome to stay as long as you desire.
Probably the best bar in Melbourne for a good time. No frills, just great vibes, great craic, delicious Guinness. The live music is unbeatable.
Always a fantastic time at the Brothers. Good Guinness l, great singalongs and top tier service
Such a neat little pub with a traditional feel. It's one of my favourite places to head for a pint. Bartenders are friendly and there's often a bloke there playing Celtic jigs and shanties.
Just been there for the first time last night and loved the warm atmosphere and the age group (older than me.) I'll become a regular for sure!
This is the place you imagine you want to be at when your in one of to many bad pubs around Melbourne.
It is a kind and friendly place where you never feel alone.
The owner and the funny friendly lady behind the bar is an absolute delight and funny without even trying to be.
There she is smiling even when it’s packed and she’s being hammered with thirsty Patrons.
