The Break

I was very happy to here be a work placement student. The break has so many activities to help people in society. The supervisor Greg is also responsibility. In
There， I learned a lot of professional skills and knowledge. They also organize activities like bbq, kayaking, one day program. In
Society, it is a very meaningful.

It is different from school we learned. So it is a good opportunity for me. Thank you the break let me learned a lot

I am so grateful to have my placement at The Break.
During my placement I am amazed of The Break's dedication and passion to help others. They have a lot of programs and services offered which gave me the opportunity to learn, discover and experience new things that is helpful and I can use on my future career.

I was assigned to complete my placement here and kinda I had a sort of biased unmotivated interests based on my previous academic exposures.

But the continuous developing programs and team efforts even through numerous difficulties to support the local community provided the difference to make it upto and to feel I am part of something that is meaningful.

This is such an amazing organisation for sure! They run lots of amazing programs such as kayaking (which is really fun), Therapeutic art, Food donations, Group therapies and so many more. I did my placement here and I have gotten tones of experiences from counselling to case management and a chance to learn and interact with their amazing clients. As an undergraduate student, The break has given me a lot of new perspectives. I have received a lot of wonderful knowledge and it has given me push start to enter the social work fields. The volunteers and staff are very welcoming and supportive. They provide a wide range of amazing services and programs for individuals of all ages and gender. Definitely making world a better place to live in!

The Break support a wide range of individuals across Melbourne. For me, the break has been that place in which I have been trained, learnt but also, on a personal level, a place that I can count on, in terms of my mental health. Outdoor activities, free counselling, a sense of community, support/peer activities make this organisation an important part of our city. Within an important aim and that should be recognized and supported for our communities. Shout out The Break!

This is a great place to know yourself specially if you are struggling with something in your life, counselling and the different art therapy allows yo to expand your mind and the activities outdoor are amazing!

The Break is a not-for-profit charity organisation run by volunteers, who are amazing people, and so passionate about helping others. The Break offers many different services and programs to assist people from all walks of life - those struggling financially, those struggling with mental health. The Break run kayaking programs, anger management, women circle, counselling session, case management, mens group and so on. Great facility to have our placement! Benefited heaps of work experience of mental health which provided students with great opportunities for personal and professional growth.

An excellent service that offers a wide range of activities from ecotherapy to counselling. The staff are patient and caring towards their clients. Many staff have significant lived experience which they incorporate into the services and activities offered by The Break.

This is the place to be, if you need help with mental health, counselling, recovering from AOD or family violence. The staff are incredibly supportive and will help you to thrive. I was given the opportunity to do my placement there, and as a student, I felt supported and gained experience. The program they run such as topic groups, or women's circle are very interesting, and have been beneficial in my personal life. Big Thank you.

I really enjoyed the Women's Conversation Circle. Such a great team providing a safe place to voice our opinions, issues and traumas. Also you get to munch on snacks while talking and hearing different perspective)

I particularly enjoyed the women's conversation circle as we had a great time conversing freely with other women who shared similar or differing view. It helped me understand that everyone has different perspective to views on things going on their lives.

A great, safe space that supports the vulnerable people. They offer a variety of programs and services to assist and support the vulnerable people's needs.
