I've come here a few times but my last visit made me want to leave a review.
The staff here are so helpful and I felt very comfortable chatting to them about my skin issues. In particular a male staff member (Pink hair) was by far amazing. Helped me pick out a proper skin care routine and while I couldn't come back to this store specifically to buy everything I bought what he said and my skin feels way better.
Definitely recommend stopping here if you're at Melbourne Central
Wonderful experience with Jimena! She took the time to analyse my skin and recommend a full skincare routine. She was so knowledgeable about all the products and was so warm and friendly! I’ll be going back to her for more skincare advice!
Their vegan products and amazing range of skin care items and their friendly staff are what makes their brand stand out in my opinion.
Had the absolute pleasure of meeting Bec today who helped me colour match a face tint. I’ve never felt comfortable at makeup counters due to bright lights, excessively made up staff and overall snobbish behaviour, however this experience was amazing! I felt like she was a friend helping me and I got a tint perfect for my skin tone. Over 30 years using their products and love their ethos and regional manager! Great work team.
I shop at the body shop quite frequently and the people in this one were so rude
i only needed to buy one thing and the person serving me said ‘is that all you’re getting’ and looked at me horribly
anyways i always appreciate good costumer service and im definitely now not going back, the emporium body shop are nicer
The body shop is amazing in general! Love their products, however the Melbourne central store is shocking! Was going in to buy 3 body butters and kept getting asked, 'do you really want that flavour? ' and 'are you sure you want that one? '. Just outrageous, stop asking if I want the flavour I picked up! I picked it up because I wanted it! The worker had no clue.ended up not buying it coz I was just annoyed! Leave me alone
This is for the body shop as a company. I brought products online for Christmas. Online it states shipment within 3 - 5 business days. I was following my order up after two weeks. Got a refund which I got told would be within 3 days. Still haven’t got the refund and it’s been 1 week. Give me my money back… and furthermore close the online shop since you can’t fulfill orders and have the money to refund clients. What a joke.
It would be nice if the customer service give us some privacy to take some time observing the products. After all, The Body Shop isn't new to the market. We know the brand but we just 'human' n human takes time n opinion to make decisions n consideration before purchasing any items.
Got a full facial skin test for free and recommended the best product for the skin, gave a handful of samples when purchasing, loved the products, smelled very good and made my skin better, would recommend for anyone who wants to get into skin care, only down side is the price, it can get expensive but luckily they have mini versions of the product which is much cheaper.
I love body shop products. Customer service would have been better in understanding the requirement of clients

Its Christmas Season and have purchased multiple items for gifts but the sales team limit the paper bags to give out - just 1 per customer. I’ve been shopping Christmas gifts but this is the only shop so far I have experienced that have limit out the paper bag to its customer. The lady in the cashier was not even nice in communicating out but the rest of the team was nice and helpful. For a big brand like this, i never expected that they would run out paper bags knowing it’s Christmas season. Such a shame! I love the products, just was not a nice experience. I’d rather just shop online.
Went to body shop Melbourne Central to purchase a small item I use regularly. Asked a young sales assistant and instead of getting the product she proceeded to talk about my mask being 'too low'.
Now I wear glasses and adjust my mask so I can at least see things! But I was in a hurry and just wanted to buy the item and leave. Instead she starts lecturing on mask guidelines for minutes on end loudly in front of other customers.
She asked me to adjust my mask and l did, then she said it wasn't good enough, I adjusted again and she still kept lecturing me to re adjust. Kept lecturing about mask rules ad nauseum, even though I'm actually exempt from masks due to allergy issues.
I just wanted to buy and leave so couldnt be bothered explaining. I Kept re adjusting for ten minutes upon her command, and she still wasnt happy and stood there ordering me to adjust and readjust, until my spectacles fogged up totally and I could no longer see anything.
Finally I had enough and stopped her mid sentence and asked her to hurry up as she is wasting time and l need to leave. I said "look l dont have time for this, can you please hurry up as l need to leave".
She reluctantly sold the item. I ran out of the shop and got knocked over on a table as I couldn't see anything due to my fogged up spectacles. I got up and left as soon as l could and I'm not coming back.
I will no longer purchase from a store that puts customers health and safety at risk by force. Bye Bye #boycottbodyshop
I liked this store very much. 2 young aussie female staff were very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. Variety of products were available and well stocked. Price is reasonable I think.
Wish click and collect was available. It would've been very convient. Hopefully one day. Apart from that, it's really great store.
