The Billiards Darts and Pool Bar / Pockets

A nice place to chill with friends, have a couple of drinks, dance a little bit and play some billiards!

Great location, amazing atmosphere. I like the dim lit lighting, creating a more personal experience than feeling cramped up next to other people like most places. The tables are very generously spread apart. They also feature a full bar and dance floor, so great for a night out.

Only reason I'm not giving this a five star is the tables are smaller and not to the same quality as other places I've been to. I think the tables are 8ft, not the typical 9ft if im getting that correct. The absolutely unique atmosphere is well worth the drop in quality and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND giving this place a try. If it's not what you're looking for, you'll at least love the change of pace.

So $5 for a bottle of Coles water that states "not for individual sale", bought from the supermarket at close to. 60 cents per bottle. If you wanna charge $5 for a bottle of water at least make it Mount Franklin?

Good place to play billiards. They have over 10 tables in good condition and one of the few places in the Northern suburbs that pool multiple weekly comps with a good turnout.
They also have a dance floor inside to I assume they operate as a nightclub on weekends

Who knew this place would become something good after being such a hole for so many years.
Ill give 5 stars when a 4am Saturday night happens. 3am is too early for a close.

Sometimes it has good music sometimes it's just Weird music and there is never enough people there maximum 60 compared to other places it's not very good

Pockets is an amazing venue with lots to offer. The staff and management are very friendly and are good at what they do. The pool tables are of a very high standard and are very well maintained. The venue has a great atmosphere too. A fantastic place to play pool and have a few beers with friends.

Group of 10 of us refused entry because one of us was wearing trackies (neat trackies).

apparently its policy is listed on their website.its not.travelled all the way down here for nothing.

However, you contradict yourselves by allowing casual wear any other day of the week.no one visiting previously on a weekday would have any clue that the policy is different on a Friday/Saturday night.

Either enforce your policy 100% or at least tell people when it applies. I dont think that is being unreasonable?

Our friend didn't dress in trackies to go to a night club.it was a literal last minute decision.

Best Pool Hall in Melbourne hands down with epceptional customer service. Great atmosphere on the weekends with nothing but positive energy in the venue. This venue really stands out with Staff going above and beyond showing nothing but love to each and everyone who walks into the building.

The best pool hall/night club around.the staff are incredible, friendly welcoming and hospitable.so much care and consideration has gone into this venue and it shows, The tables are always up to high standards and the music and atmosphere is always on point.with competitions and leagues being run throughout the week and a huge night club scene on the weekends there's always something great to talk about and experience. Would highly recommend this venue to anyone looking for an enjoyable night out! Keep up the great work pockets! I see big things to come from you guys in the future!

It's been many years since a pool hall like this has been around. The owners, staff and culture there really care about pool and the customer experience. Trust me, you want a place to actually have a great game, get looked after and make friends? This place is a must.

My credentials: I've ranked top 16 in Victoria in the state championships, I've played at every pool hall in the state and I love the game.

Great place to catch up with your mates in the northern part of Melbourne. Staff are friendly and the majority of the tables are straight and clean

Place has a nice atmosphere and the drink prices are very good. Bit pricy to hire a table for a game or 2 but worth it if you're planning to go play for a while.

Great little local pool joint. Music is great and the vibe is very welcoming. Crowd is very young. But if you looking for a night out in your back yard this is the place to be.

Just wanted to thank you for such a warm welcoming last night. I was excited to come and see what you (the new owners) had done to the place. After following the renovation carefully on your socials I couldn’t wait to get a selfie with the flower wall backdrop, check out all the art work and have a espresso martini!
(Although I was immediately drawn to the jam jars that I later found out were Long Island iced teas. I’d seen them being delivered to the patrons at the pool tables, yummmy).
The indoor outdoor smoking area with the flower feature wall looked AWESOME! It took me back in time to when I went to the Australian open tennis and I was at a pop up bar - so Melbourne.
It also made me think of the world famous spring racing carnival where there is the Melbourne Cup’s Rose garden that blooms every year magically right on time.

As people your truely inspiring. The risk taking, hard work, commitment, dedication & research that’s gone into Pockets to make it what it is today with its fresh vibe just makes people smile. It feels like home (hard to do considering it’s essentially a pool bar in Tullamarine haha), people need to check this place out!
I’m coming back in tonight to get a hair cut and I’m bringing a friend to show off your hard work.

New management have completely cleaned up the place, and have made only changes for the better! The only thing I and my friends are hoping for in the future is possibly a mix of music? Like maybe 80’s night or some stuff that’s a little less poppy for week nights? Just a thought. Keep up the good work!
