Now 2023 and been getting my seafood from the Big Fish for 4 years. Consistently great quality in fresh fish and oysters. Excellent customer service. Price is very reasonable for the quality provided.

Love the quality and freshness of everything. Lots of choice. All staff members are great and helpful.

Visited today morning. Comparatively bit pricey, but fish is definitely fresh. I am an islander (Sri Lankan) who used to buy fish from the beach, so I know my fish.
The 2 girls and the lad were so patient and attentive and made sure every customer were served well. They do a proper job, kudos.

Very clean, excellent customer service. I have no qualms paying for quality. Next best thing to catching it yourself.

Their must be a better way dealing with the Xmas orders. Gave up waiting in the queue today. Just not worth it. How about taking orders and delivering from 5am.you certainly charge enough to cover costs. If you did that everyone would be happy. Not angry like myself and the hundreds of people who read my review.

The oyster we bought is extremely not fresh, even after cooking it and we throw them away. However, the sword fish and tuna is good.

Whole Snapper is way too expensive $49 per kg.
Sorry never again even though I'm local.

Whole snapper $ 23 pr kg.
Whole flathead $ 19.99 pr kg.

Recently I bought silver white fish from this shop and it tasted and smelled ammonia. Very disappointed with my purchase and never going back again

Clean and best place to buy fish near Dandenong and frankston. Friendly staffand great attention. Those who like fish food and wish to buy bulk, this place is perfect. Referred to so many and every given the same feedback like us.

Appreciation goes to the staff, as the packing is excellent like a gift and can keep in the car safely.

This is definitely the best fish market on the peninsula. Not only is there product always fresh they are the friendliest people you'll probably ever meet

MAJORLY DISAPPOINTED! Booked 3 days in advance with a big order for my Grandpa's 91st bday. Asked for crab claws (@ $80/kg) to be thawed out/fresh). Received frozen. I took them back and was told to soak them in the sink in cold water and then drain it and then repat the process and they would be defrosted. They werent. And we I couldnt supply them for the birthday. Took them home that night to eat with family and they were a horrible watery mess. Tasteless, watery and an absolute waste of money.
Love this place, but to pre order 3 days in advance for a very special day (and the claws made up most of the $345 order), was very disappointed. We didn't have enough food for the birthday.

After a simple mistake today in my order I was more than compensated, in fact embarrassingly so. I've been buying fish here for 15 years and hope to for another 15. Great choice and always superb quality. Have a wonderful Christmas and tremendous 2022. Thank you Pete and crew.

Simply the freshest seafood in Melbourne in fact its like from the boat to you.
Advise from staff on what fish how to cook it how to marinade is absolutely fantastic.
I highly recommend The Big Fish.
I worked in the industry years ago. This shop has a great variety. Not quantity but it the quality. They only sell and stock the freshest fish.
Worth the drive.

Just a friendly suggestion, you can put nots saying which fish is wild caught and which one is farmed.

Bought some King George Whiting and it was filleted for me for free. The staff are really helpful and friendly.

First time here. This place is so clean and fresh it didnt even smell like the ocean. All the whole fish burried under ice not on top, no slimeyness or funk anywhere. These guys are on it!
