The Bay Motel - Safety Beach

Lovely motel in a great location. The room was well presented, clean and modern. My daughter said the beds in the adjoining room weren't as comfortable as the bed in the main room and she struggled to sleep. It is also quite noisy, being located on a main road. Other than these two small issues, I can recommend this motel as it looks far better than anything similar we saw in the area. The customer service is also first class.

Clean, spacious, comfortable beds, good shower, and a fairly convenient location. Definitely on the high end of the scale as far as motels go.

Comfy bed, good shower, decent price. However I had pre organized a late check out via email. Owner hadn't told the cleaning staff. I was rushed to get out of the room which was annoying. Reception doesn't have a chair or couch to sit on which was disappointing when I was out in the rain waiting for my taxi.

We stayed for 5 days. Fastidiously clean, unobtrusive yet helpful staff. Realistic rates. High recommend.

What a nice place to stay, friendly staff, the cleanest rooms you can get from a motel, will always book there when I am down there, keep up the good work Josie and Frank.

The check in was a breeze with friendly staff. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. All facilities, shops and eatery was walking distance or a short drive down the road.

We didn't get to meet Josie but if Frank is her partner then she must be great, such a warm welcome from Frank he made us feel at home from the start. Our room was the cleanest motel room we've ever stayed at (we have stayed at quite a few), it wasn't overly large; but, hey, we were there to sleep and sleep we did. The bed was very comfortable and smelt clean, so refreshing. I was initially concerned about traffic noise because we live in an extremely quiet area and not used to traffic noise, but noise was not a problem; high summer may be different. We'd happily stay there again.

We picked this place for its location. We were impressed with the freshness and cleaniness of the room. Bed was comfortable and facilities were well provided for. There is even a mini bar and prices are not extravagant. This is our choice for a Peninsula stay next time.

Wow! We were really impressed with our room. 5 stars for sure! It was more like a fancy hotel than a motel. Exceptionally clean. We felt very welcomed by the host! Motels are usually for short stays, but this motel you could settle in for much longer. Such a good location. Highly recommended!

A solid little motel in a perfect location only 200 metres from Safety Beach. The owners were really friendly, the rooms were nice and the BBQ area outside was great. Will be back

Our family of 5 stayed at The Bay Motel recently for a few days and had a wonderful experience. The rooms were very clean and modern. Its location is ideal as it is walking distance from the beach and shops. Definitely will stay there again. Try it out, you wont be disappointed.

Great bbq area, our beds were made everyday and room cleaned immaculately.
Frank was such a great character, best service ever, really helpful. Rained first couple of days so they gave us a dinner voucher which was an amazing dining experience.
We’ve stayed there before and will definitely be coming back again.
Can’t thank the staff enough for there great hospitality.

Lovely stay in a great room. Showers were wonderful and the bed was very comfortable.
Short walk or drive round the corner to Dromana and a range of restaurants and cafes.
Nice and close to Arthurs Seat and Adventure Wonderland.

The place is nice, it offers what it advertises. The rooms are really cosy, and have everything you need. I think they've alse been re-done recently since they look modern. Good location, literally less than 5mins walk to Safety Beach, and 10min to Dromana Beach.

On the downside, it is located next to the Hwy, which can make it quite noisy at nights, but this might not happen in other rooms since ours was quite literally next to the Hwy.

The rooms are not that sound proof since they were a lot of kids staying in the motel in the rooms adjacent us, and you could hear pretty much everything.

The Bay Motel was very close to the beach and the Dromana shops. The room was very nice and cleaned to COVID safe standards. Staff were very friendly. Lovely spot, will be coming back for sure!

Very nice room with high quality fittings. The room was very clean, the bathroom was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Very friendly service. Highly recommend this motel.

My partner and I stayed at The Bay Motel in the first week of January and really enjoyed our stay! The room was clean and comfortable, and we were very impressed to find that high-use items such as cups, cutlery and remotes were individually wrapped (a great covid-safe measure). Thanks for having us!
