The Bay Hotel Mornington

Great bar great atmosphere. The bartender who I think was Barely legal was ridiculously arrogant as anything and rolled his eyes at me when I asked for a straw for my wife. I own my own business and if he worked for me he wouldn’t last a day. If he is fired I will be back in a second. Is that a bit hard?

My friend and I sat down in an waited over 10 minutes but weren’t even acknowledged.
The pub was empty, except for one other table which already had their meals served.
Upon leaving I mentioned to one of the staff that they obviously don’t want our business.
Her response was “you need to order at the bar”. Well that would have been helpful if we were given menus.
As Mornington locals we have a lot of other fabulous options to choose from.
Shame as we used to enjoy this pub and I have previously written a glowing review under the previous management.

This place makes me sick. $25+ for meals that are over served and they have no take away option. Half of my meal (an entire meal for someone else) is going into the trash. People are starving in this world and they waste half the food they turn out in a day. Disgusting. Pop your privileged Mornington bubble and figure it out.

Aside from this issue the staff were great and the food was fantastic. Would have been great to take it home.

Excellent lunch here yesterday. Shared roast pork and eye fillet. Both we’re great. Staff also excellent under current conditions.

Very good food! Lovely place to grab a bite and a pint after hitting the beach. Very helpful with the kids too!
