The Armstrong Street Food Store

So rude. Like unbelievably rude. Never experienced this level of blatant disregard for customer experience. Lost for words. I would have put it down to the lady having a really bad day but it’s now happened twice and separately to my mother, mother-in-law and wife.

The Food Store has been the best cafe in Middle Park for over 20 years and keeps getting better. Love coming back here when I’m visiting family in Melbourne!

I went for a coffee on Saturday morning, asked the guy with tatoo “Can I have a bag to put my coffee? ”. Then I received the first sarcasm “ How can one put the coffee into a bag? ” So he gave me a tray. Since the tray is too big I decided to carry the coffee by hands and left the tray on the counter. That was the time I received the second sarcasm, “Ohhh my God! ” He whispered. But he ensured that I can hear that!

Everything else is good except this tatooed barista. He ruined my day and I will never come back. I really want to ask is this how you serve your customer? Why you have this person who is so abusive and impatient to your customers?

So glad I had popped into this cafe! I had great difficulty trying to decide what to eat because everything looked incredibly delicious and is made fresh in store. The lovely lady behind the counter was a great help and made my day!

A very nice cafe that is popular with locals. Great food options and the coffee is good. Nice ambience.

One of my favourite cafes in Melbourne. Coffee is decent. Homemade food options are spectacular. The atmosphere is cosy and welcoming, lacking the overwrought pretensions some Melbourne cafes seem to ooze. The team is bright and down to earth. Locals dote on the place. It is never empty.

Discriminating, rude, and condescending staff. I could not see the take away cup sizes without glasses and the lady rolled her eyes and said “Oh my god! ”. Unbelievable! Very bad.

Wow this place is a great little find. Friendly staff that actually come out from behind the counter to greet you! The coffee is one of the best I’ve ever had and the food was super fresh and tasty. Keep doing what your doing!

Better known as Nick's, this is the best quick food place in Middle Park. Good service, a great selection of food, including take home meals if you can't be bothered to cook, and very reasonable prices. Highly recommended

This place is great! We’re not from the area and we stopped here randomly for a bite to eat and a coffee! Staff were so lovely and the coffee was fabulous! I had a salad and rosemary pie and a caramel slice. All of which I would highly recommend! Looking forward to returning here again.
