The Amazing Mill Markets - Daylesford reviews
75Not really worth buying the stuff here in my opinion most of it is overpriced, I saw a rickety old acoustic guitar with 2 strings missing valued at $68
An absolute favourite. It appears expensive, but it's unique collectables that can be hard to come by and run by the little guys.
Both my hubby and l love wandering around the Mill Markets, l think there is something for everyone, brick a brac, antiques, gourmet foods, local arts & crafts, to finish our viist we enjoyed a really good coffee from their cafe, worth a visit, we will be back.
My first visit to the Mill market a couple of years ago I honestly didn't know where to look first I just loved it and spent literally hours poking around and slowly making my way through and then I could have just turned around and done it all over again it was fantastic however
The last few visits I noticed a number of stalls dedicated to old (and some new) clothing and on my most recent trip yesterday I got through the whole market in about 45 minutes bypassing all the clothing stalls and left thinking this will be my last visit
Coming from and making a special trip from Melbourne I have decided not to return as it now has so many old and new clothing stall it's feels like a massive Salvation Army Op shop I think when people come to an Antiques and collectables warehouse that is what they are looking for NOT clothing obviously there are some who enjoy the clothing side of it but not me I want to browse and purchase Antiques and collectables and soon The Incredible Mill Market should maybe consider a name change to The Mill Incredible Op shop and I feel really sad about that because it WAS a fantastic Antique and Collectable outlet I sincerely hope if this is read by management of the Market that it will be taken on board meanwhile I shall get my A&C fix from Aristoc Rd in Melbourne
Like all these places it's a great place to step back in time, a museum an aladdin's cave of stuff.
Go and find a treasure.
Nice market. Quite a big space inside with lots of new and old stuff to look at and purchase. Lots of relics to remember your childhood. There is a cafe onsite that serve up some nice light meals and cakes
A really interesting place to visit. A bit like an Opp Shop on steroids. Not sure it's a half day visit like some suggest but certainly likely to keep you engaged for an hour or so.
Loved this market, so much new and old items, could spend hours there going through things. Great to see even items there that mum had many many years ago. Brought back lots of memories. Will definitely go back next time I'm in dayesford.
Such a great place to stop for a bite and a bargain, be prepared to spend more than an hour here tho, once you start looking around it's almost impossible to stop
Wandered around the wonderful collectables for a couple of hours then had a delicious lunch at the cafe, the fruit flans were amazing! Highly recommended!
Staff were overly pushy about joining the queue, when I was not ready to check out, and was just trying to get by to talk to someone I was there with, and look at the rest of the store. They would not take this as an acceptable answer, and just kept directing me to join the queue. This was 3 staff members too, so it wasnt even like it was a misunderstanding by 1 staff member. It was not close to closing time, either.
This is truly an amazing place if you are in to all the old, rare junk. There are some gems here and there, but you need to spend some considerable time there. Great vinyl choice.
This truly unique market is litteraly a treasure trove of Nic nacs. You can litteraly spending hours browsing the many many stalls packed with old and new, home made and mass produced. Get tired! Well stop at the cafe. The whole place is undercover, so on those odd rainy days this is a great place to while away the time.
I'm disgusted that I couldn't have my little dog inside which I always have and now all of a sudden cause of other dogs accidents my dog can't go but hold her stupid people no manners a man abuseed me instead of talking to me nicely no he was rude stressed me n went to tell the rest of staff they followed me n my partner told them to shove it for being rude to me never am I going their again but to other mill markets yes
Seriously amazing markets - would have to be one of the best I've ever been to. Huge array of items, from very old and rare vintage items to more recent pieces. Clothes, shoes, homewares, tools, beauty products, toys, jewellery, furniture, there was really something for everyone.
I think the thing that made this market special is that it is finely curated - by people with all sorts of tastes. Would highly recommend, it is worth a couple of hours walking around. Also has a cafe for when you're sick of looking at all the things.
A must see place. You can spend hours here, looking at the stalls. Finish up eith a cuppa at the market Cafe.
The mill market Daylesford has almost anything you could want and is a great day out when you visit this beautiful town
There is so much to look at here! And the cafe food is amazing. I really enjoyed the pulled pork toastie.
It's definitely worth checking out if you're in Daylesford. You never know what you'll find there. It's a cross between a market, a yard sale and a garage sale. Definitely fascinating. I think we spent between an hour and an hour and a half wondering around the place. The whole place is inside a building so you're undercover in case it rains. Parking is hard to get so either come really early or be prepared to circling a fair bit too find one. There's lots of people browsing but I didn't find it overwhelming except in the cafe section.
Worth checking out. Lots of little antique stalls with the general selection of old unwanted junk (i'm not a major antiques fan if you can tell). It's packed full of stock so there is plenty to look at and it is good for killing a little time or breaking up a trip.
I can highly recommend the cafe there though. The coffee was delicious and the custard tart was one of the best custard tarts I've ever had. They are made onsite. Unfortunately, I didn't have time to test any of the other food but if the tart is anything to go by, it would be knock out!
