The Alfredton Fish Shop

The worst over cooked flake I have every tried to eat. Most went in the bin.
The rest of the food was fine. But reading the reveiws. It seem to be a common thing with this shop. I wont be back in a hurry

I thoroughly enjoy the pizza, Flake, and seafood sticks! The Owner is very friendly and always offers us great service! Great Job Alfredton Fish Shop!

New owners who barely speak English or understand English. I had to write my order on paper for them. The food was okay but I won’t be coming back unfortunately.

Decent but when you order it takes a long time to get it ready would recommend if your not in a rush.

The food is delicious and amazing value. The fish portions are huge. I’ve edited this to say I’ve ordered again and my $20 worth I ate for 2 1/2 meals. I’ll probably regret this review when it becomes well known and prices go thru the roof but how can you not give a shout out to amazing value. Plus they are super helpful when I call with directions for how I want my food to be. Me, I want it delivered uncooked twice. Just the first dip. Otherwise with food delivery services it’s soggy and lukewarm. For almost 30 years I’ve been loyal to a particular fish and chip shop. That’s shifted. This place is my new go to.

I would absolutely NEVER go there again even if I was starving, and they're the only ones open!

Pleasant staff and ordering easy. The food was good, especially the fish. Chips were greasy. Be warned 10% surcharge on cards.

Absolutely appalling $56 worth of overcooked seafood,
Miniature potato cakes and $12 of chips that wasn't even enough to feed 2 Adults and 2 kids had to give chips to kids and cook a $2.50 bag of chips in airfryer for adults which was double the amount what we got from shop!
Will never return it was a second chance and they failed miserably again.
The shop is also very dirty as well needs a major clean on closer inspection tonight.

Raw potatoes in the cheese potato bacon cake. Lack of chicken salt added normal salt when home! Response to owner no.i know the difference between RAW and soft try again.and your normal potato cakes a paper thin your short cutting and charging full price.not only is it raw ur using ham peaces not bacon like u advertised.fake and misleading advertising!

Incorrect order including a $8 steak sandwich that could barely be considered eatable. $50 of undercooked order that has disappointed the whole family. The phone is busy so we can't resolve. I wouldn't recommend this fish shop.

More batter than scallop. Ugh. Pale too much batter potato cakes (though I noticed there was an extra). Souvlaki was wet, soggy and not like yeros.

I love this place! I always grab lunch with my mate every fortnight. Grabbed dinner today, tasted amazing as usual. Owners are great, hard working and friendly. Same to staff. Everyone is friendly. Will continue to order:)

Burger had no flavour. Far too much salt on chips. When asked for no tomato got a blank look as if it was unheard of! Used to be so good.very disappointed

Fish was so hard and thin, was hard to eat.
Chips were brown in color, and old.
Potato cakes, again, hard and old.
Was a regular customer with old owners, won't be back.

Pretty ordinary since the new owners took over. Thought it may have picked up by now but still very ordinary. Souvlaki cold, stale bread, very low on filling & Scallops were soggy. Sorry guys you have lost us for good now.

Chips soggy, stale and tasteless, pizza ok. Service terrible, walked in to collect our food and were ignored by two staff members who looked at straight at us and ignored us, we had to ask for our food which we could clearly see sitting there.

Good Value. Good quality food. Make sure they take your order correctly especially over the phone. Staff are friendly.

Unfortunately the fish and chips were pale, soggy and chewy. Had to put them in the airfryer at home to make them palatable. Fish (whiting) had multiple bones, scales and fins left on under the batter. Disappointing.

First of all I was told there wasn't any surcharge when using my card, looking at the receipt there was a 1% surcharge I wasn't told about. The food is has gone up in price and actually states a different price on there advertising on Facebook. On Facebook it is a few dollars cheaper. The food is substantially less and worse quality than normal too.
