The 13th Apostle Backpackers

Would give 0 stars if I could.
The only good thing that can be said about this hostel is its location on the Great Ocean Road.
- no one there
-Key box not marked
-Everything is open (doors not locked everywhere)
- no light in the hallway
- Not clean
Would not recommend the accommodation. It may have been clean and intact 2 years ago, but unfortunately not at all anymore.

The price booked online is completely different from the actual charge. I have contacted the hotel several times to ask why there is an increase in payment. The extra amount is half of the original room rate. However, I only received a reply and will be transferred to a dedicated person to contact the customer, but it has been more than 10 days and still no one has contacted me, and I have not responded to my email again. I feel very bad. I don’t have any recommendations except that the price is cheap. After being overcharged, I would rather stay in another room.

It would be great if I could get a reply by writing here as to why the amount has increased! Please reply!

Update: I finally received a reply. The reply stated that the increased amount is for the third person in the family room. But what I can’t understand is that the number of people I booked has not been changed from the beginning to the end. It is always 3 people in the family room. No changes to the number of people! ! If you need to increase the amount, you can inform it at the time of booking, or even explain it in the letter of successful reservation. However, from the beginning to the end, you were not informed of the increase in the amount. Instead, after the stay, you suddenly received a payment that was different from the reservation at that time. When the price was deducted, I found that the price was wrong. After contacting the hotel many times, I received a letter telling me the reason for the increase. I felt very bad. Please consider carefully before booking this accommodation! I also hope that the hotel can improve the information on the booking website and honestly inform the amount! Thank you!

This hostel is currently closed though accommodation at the 13th apostle backpackers can be accessed via the Great Ocean walk hike support operators.

There is a basic kitchen and decent bathroom, lounge and good covered outdoor patio with BBQ, stove and furniture.

Located in the currently ghost town of Princetown, it is conveniently close to the 12 apostle tourist attractions and more.

Plenty of mosquitoes and March flies.
