Thai Herbs Restaurant Essendon

I spoke with someone from Thai herbs about coordinating a huge order for a dinner I was having for my birthday and they were amazing and accomodating.not only do i love thai herbs food (hence it was my first choice) but the customer service and generosity they showed was immeasurable

…A very, very, very outrageous restaurant. I asked the staff to recommend a dish. The salmon was very fishy and horrible. I ordered Tom Yum soup with rice. The rice was bigger than the soup. I ordered four dishes, all of which were basically the same. Who in this kind of restaurant. Who will be unlucky?

So happy to have discovered this fantastic thai restaurant. Despite what some other reviews have said, we were seated on a busy Friday night without a booking and the service was swift. We returned a week later as it was all so delicious and same again, service was prompt and very friendly. The red curry is our top pick. We will be back again!

Most friendliest and caring staff, been multiple times for take away and dine in, always got a smile on there face and have the best food wver

Food was good but very slow service. We waited an hour for our mains to come out while we watched them pump out phone/takeaway orders. This will be my last visit.

This has to be our most favourite and highly rated Thai restaurant in the whole of Melbourne. The food is incredibly fresh and everything is made by hand, the premise is extremely clean and inviting. You will struggle to find any fault with this fantastic restaurant!

Increased price and reduced some serving portions, I know it’s tough these days and everything has increased cost wise but serving portions were on verge of ridiculous.

I got takeaway from here last night and the food was soooo yummy! Honestly the best Penang I’ve had in Melbourne

We have just moved to the area and this place is just down the road. The meals and service was fantastic. Had vegetarian massaman it was so good. Our new local Thai.

1st visit takeaway and i was impressed with the taste of every dishI'll be back!
Only 4 stars because I thought there could have been more meat in the curry dish.

So happy we chose this place for our Saturday night take out. Me and my partner ordered Pad Thai, Green chicken curry and a few entrees and everything was so delicious. Will definitely be coming back.

Their website says 9pm. Very rude staff refused to take an order at 8: 03pm on a Saturday night. Long time customer. Will never return. Food has been average and expensive for the quality and stingy serving sizes. Shame they don’t value loyal local clientele. Many years ago this place was great. Try the one down the hill instead.

Gang Penang is out of this world. Solid pad Thai too. Wait times for takeaway can be a little long on weekends

Delicious Thai food with a good selection of authentic Thai cuisine. Try the fluffy Jasmine rice with Massaman curry beef and Pad Thai pork. Lovely to accompany with vegetable spring rolls and roti bread.

Parking is available out front, although Buckley Street can be rather busy so the side streets provides some parking availability.

During COVID times pick up of take away is available, but you will have to pickup yourself. No home delivery available, but you can ring your order through prior to collecting.

Wonderful service and the food is excellent. Take away is ready at the time nominated and food is very fresh

Great little find.this place is busy and rightly so.the phone does not stop for either pickup or delivery and the food is worth the wait!
Dined in - 4 adults on a Thursday night.we went early around the 6pm mark and didn't have a booking but were seated straight away!
We ordered entrees of curry puff, spring roll & satay chicken all was lovely and tasty!
Mains comprised of Penang curry, pad thai, chilli cashew again all very tasty.
Staff were very helpful and friendly

Food is always great and the service is warm and friendly. During these times we really appreciate the home delivery. The yellow curry is definitely my favorite dish but everything we order is always amazing.

Visited twice, once dine-in and then take away. It's fine, without being fantastic. Curries, stir-fry dishes and noodles all OK without being "wow". Pretty cramped when dining in, but good service. Still on the hunt for a great Thai local.

That was the best authentic Thai food werve had in a long time! The coconut fish served in a coconut was delicious, you could taste all the fresh herbs and spices in the green curry ans the delivery girl was lovely
