Thai Food to Go reviews
24It’s a great experience. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming, plus wonderful food and service. Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendation. Definitely on my favourite on Chapel
Good value and tasty. The only criticism I have is that there’s a lot of sugar added to the food. A chicken vegetable dish has a very high sugar content added.
I don’t want sugar added to my meals.
Delicious authentic Thai food! Great staff, vegetarian options, food on our table within 15mins. What more could you ask for! Don't sleep on the coriander omellette!
I can’t believe I haven’t posted a review for this place, my favourite restaurant. I’ve been a regular here for 20 years. The food is always perfect, fresh, flavoursome and delicious, I order the same dishes every time and am still surprised how good they are each time. The staff are awesome, service is very friendly and incredibly fast. Ting the owner is always so lovely and welcoming. I love the decor and music, always a highlight of the week, thank-you! ️
Unfortunately this isn’t authentic Thai food, pretty watered down version. 3 flavour fish was super sweet and drowned in Thai red chilli sauce (the kind you buy from grocery store), roti is like the kind you can get frozen from the Asian store, satay sauce is also not authentic and taste like it comes from a can/ bottle, som tom was pretty bland, not spicy/ sour. The best thing was probably the coconut rice. I really wanted to like this place but was pretty disappointed. Not for me (Asian palate that loves authentic Thai food). 1 star for the decor.
One of my go-to when I just want some Thai locally. Usually only going with takeaway. Can recommend the pad kee mao and pad see eww.
Best Thai food in Prahran / Windsor. Staff are efficient but delightful. Decor is retro style and functional. I have lived in Windsor for over 25 years and this place is now a cultural icon!
I love the beef grapow, but there are many other yummy but healthy items on menu.
Average pad thai and not very good clear soup. Pad thai had no peanuts and very little egg. My partner had a soup which was pretty flavourless.
Simply delicious. Eaten here a few times and whilst it isn’t fancy nor is there a large selection, everything they on the menu is great.
I've loved this place for years, the food is absolutely delicious, very reasonably priced, the restaurant is cute and cozy and the staff are lovely. You can also BYO wine. Can't ask for more really. It's a gem
Delicious Thai dinner from Thai food to go. We ordered spring rolls (so different to what we’re used to but very tasty), green chicken curry and basil and chilli beef. All dishes were full of flavour and fresh. Will definitely add this to one of our faves to order from again.
The owner was super rude. We ordered seafood fried rice to go but while waiting we decided to just eat there. The owner said it’s already packed and we cannot eat inside the restaurant. I asked if she can just put it on a plate but she just refused. Worst restaurant experience ever!
edit: The owner's relentless response proves how they care very little about customer experience. We were asked to sit at this said table until the food is made and there were only a couple of people dining at the restaurant. Why would you ask if we wanted to dine in if you didn't have anymore tables? I am amazed at how bad you are taking this review to even go to the expense of lying on a public review system.
Also I didn't know it interferes with a 'busy' schedule to transfer a fried-rice in a plastic box onto a plate. I simply bought food from you and respectfully asked whether we can dine in. Respect is a two way street but I don't see any reason to respect you.
The food is fresh & the servings sizable. The service is also excellent. We have never been disappointed. Ten out Ten
Great selection of traditional Thai dishes. Good portion sizes, excellent customer service and a very relaxed environment.
Convenient location, friendly staff, decent portion, fairly priced, well presented and tasty Thai food, therefore I give 5 out of 5, recommend!
Very plain and boring. Pad see ew was dry and flavourless. Massaman curry was watery, little strips of beef (and mainly mixed vegetables).
Chicken satay skewers were ok but satay sauce needed more peanut and less filler.
Reasonably affordable Thai on Chapel Str. Not outstanding (food nor decor) but OK. Value for money
Friendly staff. I had the vegetarian green curry, it was delicious. Great value for money. BYO wine and beer makes the dine in option even cheaper!
My favourite restaurant in Melbourne. I don't live nearby but will always suggest it. Feels like I am back in Cuba (where I went in 2018) - both seem to have genuine decor from 1960, and cheap beer. Food much better here. Food in Cuba lovingly horrendous.
Thanks.
Alasdair and I will be back for the lunch special once our schedules Line up.
Thanks,
Angus
Very average Thai food. Chicken in Pad See Eiw was very tough and rubbery and larb salad was tasteless. Food did not taste good or fresh. Wont be going back.
