Thai Deli reviews
48The food was delicious. Plenty of veg in my chicken soup. Staff friendly. Perfect for takeaway, but itsnot somewhere to go for a special occasion.it's a bit of a messy hole in the wall.
Had the tofu/veggies green curry, it was lovely. Nice and spicy, lots of veggies. Combo was well priced, I received more than expected: curry puffs, spring roll and roti
Delicious food and great value. Staff were very friendly. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Highly recommend!
This place gives me that 'I'm just doing this to survive' vibes. Food was ok, but it's like the chef has checked out, just cooking in auto mode food that passes as Thai flavours. Tried the crispy pork basil and crispy pork Pad see ew and wouldn't recommend either. Ambiance was dark and dingy. Can get better quality Thai food for that price within the same distance of travel. Service was friendly and fast though.
Ordered Green Chicken Curry for Take out. Curry had very little flavour and watery coconut milk. Veggies were uncooked and too large in size, eggplant can't be raw in the curry.hopefully next time will be better as I want the place to do good business being so close to my home.
This was a planned visit on a cold night.
We ordered the red curry, pad Thai and crispy pork belly with Chinese broccoli.
The pad Thai was moist and tasted great. The star of the dinner was the crispy pork belly with broccoli as it was done perfectly and it was delicious.
While the red curry was good, it would have been better if it was spicier and if the gravy was thicker.
Definitely worth repeat visits if you are in the Southbank area.
Second time trying Thai Deli under the new management/owners (used to frequent the joint very often when it was run by the previous owners), and I’m glad to say they’ve still got it.
Pad Thai was delicious, as was the other dishes we ordered. Spring Rolls were exceptional too.
Food in this restaurant reminded me of my experience in Thailand.
Fried rice, Pad Thai love it, but the Kai Soi was so dam delicious. Enjoyed it thoroughly
Does the job. Has gluten free options. They need to keep it warm during winter rather than have the door open!
Absolute worst Pad Thai I've ever had. Noodles were totally white because there was basically no sauce. There was 3 small pieces of chicken and 2 small cubes of tofu. Took a long time to make the food for some reason even though this could very well be a Woolworths clearance item thrown in a microwave - but even that would have some flavour.
Food was delicious, ready quickly and came with a fun drawing on the bag! Will be going back soon
This was such a lucky find! Loved the Massaman beef curry, I’ll be back to try their lunch options.
The food is excellent. It arrived quickly after we ordered. The staff were lovely as well. Yummo
I really like this place. The food is always fresh and has a very authentic taste. I highly recommend it.
Ordered the Crispy Pork Pad See Eiw online (for pickup) and requested in the "special instructions" field to please not include fried onion/shallots as garnish". I have a mild fructose intolerance, so while onions cooked through sauces are manageable.having them sprinkled on top is not.
After I picked it up and got it home, there were fried onions sprinkled all over and through the entire thing, making it impossible to pick them all out.
I don't expect restaurants to recook custom meals for me given my mild intolerance, but when the adjustment is as simple as not adding a garnish (and it's in writing), you expect them to do better.
In the end, I couldn't be stuffed taking it back or raising a fuss (and had no time or spare money to buy a second meal), so ate it anyway and ended up on the toilet a bunch of times. The taste wasn't even worth the cost.
Ordered several appetizers and entrees for takeaway, and we were very appreciative of the quality of the food. Well prepared, well flavored, and they even had a custom doodle with our name on the takeaway bag. We will definitely be getting takeaway from this restaurant again during our stay in Southbank.
I got the crab rangoons and drunk noodles, very delicious! Not a whole lot of seats, so best to book in advance for big groups.
Typical small neighborhood restaurant serving Thai food. We tried the pad Thai which was decent. The Tom yum Noodle soup could be stronger in terms of the tartness and flavour but I guess they're trying to cater to a wider population. The appetizer Platter had this mix of their different fried appetizers which were okay. Service is friendly and food comes out quick.

Took my order, made me wait half an hour then tell me they don't have what I ordered left. Great way to run a business.
Great food, big portions and friendly staff. Glad to be supporting this family-run business. Thank you!
