I did the beginner course with Nyssa and had an incredible time! We got a lot of support and were encouraged to be creative and try new things. Plus they provide all the tea you want and the studio dog is an absolute sweetheart. 10/10 would recommend

I signed up with for the beginner term class and had such a wonderful experience with Cassie and Nyssa. The beginner term class teaches the full course from wheel throwing to trimming to glazing. Very well-planned syllabus and we get try different clays at each wheelthrowing class! Looking forward to come back for the next term!

My friends and I decided to pursue the art of pottery in recent days, and serendipitously came across Terrapotter Studios in our search for classes nearby.
We knew that we wanted to take our time learning the ins and outs of pottery making, so the beginner's term course which spanned 7 weeks felt like a good fit for our needs. The 2-hour weekly classes were taught by Nyssa & Cassie, who helped guide us through the basics of pottery with patience and plenty of wisdom to share!
If your fingers are itching to sink into lumps of clay and to begin your journey towards mastering the art of pottery, I would highly recommend giving Terrapotter Studios a go!

I moved to Melbourne and was looking for a space to continue practicing my ceramics and found this studio online. I’ve been going for the past couple weeks now to their open studio and I’m very happy with it. I really love the warm and open environment that is created here. All the staff are incredibly nice and helpful. Overall I’m very content with my experience here and would definitely recommend it to anyone that is looking for starting out or just continuing working on ceramics!

Took the 7 classes term recently as part of my long time wish. Love the ambience, vibe, teacher Cassie and doggo Sam:) it’s more of a self discovery experience for me and seeing progress within such short term is really satisfying!

Super cute studio with the loveliest teachers and the fluffiest of doggies. Had such a great time trying a pottery wheel for the first time!

I highly recommend the term classes at Terrapotter with Cassie for anyone! She teaches the processes and explains all concepts so thoroughly, and is always so helpful when we need it.

Bonus points for cute dog, hot tea and relaxing ambience!

Our favourite teacher Cassie has her special approach to show and guide every student the most proper and fun way to create our unique pieces. She is always patient and be there if I needed help. We are also provided high quality clays and glazes so all the pieces all turn out so perfectly.

The studio is located in a quite but convenient pocket of South Melbourne, finding parking is so easy. The beautiful environment inside of the studio and pier students makes learning to do ceramics such a enjoyable experience.

I highly recommend Terrapotter Studios and our teacher Cassie to anyone who is experienced & wants to learn new skills, or anyone who is new to pottery & want to explore this focused but fun/rewarding activity.

I went for an intro class and it was so relaxing and an immensely enjoyable experience. I then signed up for the term and continued learning from Cass who is an amazing teacher. I am really looking forward to coming back every term and eventually, hopefully make some nicer pieces.

Classes are intimate & Cassie is a fantastic teacher manages between students of all experience levels in the class.

Terrapotter is a beautiful environment/space to be in & the classes ended up being an almost meditative experience, sitting in the sun at the wheel!

Cassie has been such a kind and patient teacher, and has really made the time to engage with each student personally. The pace has been perfect as a first timer too.
I have really enjoyed the intimate environment (only 8 students max) and the beautiful, calm studio environment.

You can tell Cassie has a background in education. Her clear instruction and student-focused approach are slowly eradicating the bad habits I’ve picked up elsewhere. I have learnt so much. THANKS CASSIE

Had an amazing introductory class to wheel throwing at Terrapotter. Surprised by how fun it was and a great way to spend a Saturday morning. Can't wait to go back and get my hands dirty again

A bright studio, small class size and clear instruction and guidance from Cassie. A perfect place for the absolute beginner to learn about how to use a pottery wheel. I'm ready to go back for more.

It was my first time doing pottery and I am glad that I took the intro class at Terrapotter studios with Cassie. Such an enjoyable class and I managed to make 4 bowls/cups by the end of the session. Cant wait to see the results (need to be fired and glazed) in 4-6weeks ️ Definitely recommended and will come back for another course

Great fun. Pitched at the right level for the novice but you’ll you leave with something that is recognisable! Cassandra was very friendly and helpful which made for a very enjoyable couple of hours.

Cassie is incredibly talented and is an amazing teacher - I’ve attended a number of wonderful and informative workshops at her studio, along with using the public firing service (with such care taken of my ceramics pieces). Highly recommend!
