Templestowe Childcare Centre Journey Early Learning

First time parent, first time using child care, and I'm so happy and relieved I found Journey. Immediately when we walked in for a tour, we noticed how calm the place was, especially compared to other places that seemed a bit hectic. The staff seemed very nice, and we liked that we could see straight into the kitchen and speak with the cooks.
Fast forward to orientation and settling in of my very attached 1 year old, and things are going great. All the educators have been so caring and attentive while my son settled in, and there seems to be lots of staff around, not just the minimum ratios, so the children get lots of personal attention. And it's a smaller centre so the staff know all the kids, like a family. While I was there during orientation sessions x3, I repeatedly saw kids happy to see their educators upon arrival, and leaving their parents' arms to get to the educators'. I thought that was amazing.
There's a separate sleep room, a breast feeding room, and all the food is FRESH, no frozen veg, and you can get the recipe if there's a particular meal your child liked! My son always has seconds there, it's awesome. And a really big outdoor area with shades. Admin is really organised, lots of updates on your child via app all day, and management has been great to deal with (Toula). Good parking, good price, and there's even a coffee machine if you need to hang a round for some reason.

We’re really happy with Journey Templestowe, we love that it’s small and the educators are fantastic. The children do so many amazing activities and we definitely feel that our child’s language and skills has developed considerably since attending Journey.

My children love attending Journey Early Learning in Templestowe. The staff are very professional, attentive and caring and make a great effort to ensure every family and child feels welcome and included. It’s a smaller centre which was important to me so my girls could have more attention. I am constantly receiving updates on their daily activities and learning progress. While events slowed down due to COVID they’ve picked up again and the team at Journey organised a wonderful afternoon tea for Mother’s Day recently. The environment is clean and inviting and they have a great variety of food on the menu with very wholesome meals cooked fresh everyday. I cannot recommend Journey enough!

Being my first child I was very nervous about leaving him with strangers, it was the best decision I have ever made the Educaters are amazing beautiful ladies, my son loves them and he has advanced so much by being there. I would never take him anywhere else this is his 2nd home.thanks so much ladies for all you do you are greatly appreciated by us mums xxx

Educators are fantastic and caring. Most of them are fun and easy to talk to while they are very professional. My kid always says how much she loves them and that is all you need as a parent.

My children love Journey Learning Templestowe! The staff are like family and educate and attend to my children’s needs. Even through COVID-19, they have been supportive and understanding about families struggling. Having a chat about life’s struggles is really comforting to have a person to talk to.
Journey Early Learning is very structured for the children, but also allows the children to enjoy the freedom of being a child.
My children love the nutritious food and keep asking me to cook food at home like Journey Early Learning Childcare /kindergarten.
Based on my personal experience through my children, I would highly recommend Journey Early Learning Templestowe to anyone looking for a nourishing and educational childcare/kindergarten.

This is a wonderful centre with amazing staff who really care about the children and enjoy their role as educators. My daughter has been here since she was 1 (now almost 3) and she loves it here, she can’t wait for her little sister to join her very soon.

Such a great centre and lovely team. My daughter who has now attended Journey Templestowe for the last 6 months after we moved from another centre has just flourished and loves going every morning to see her friends. No more tears at drop off and I know she is so well looked after and cared for.

Coming to the Journey Early Learning Centre has always been a pleasure not just for my son but for me as well. It is home from home, the staff are excellent. My son has learnt so much from you, even the days he's not at the centre he wanted to be with you all.

Love this place. Kids are not just a number. All the staff are caring and knowledgeable. Great small daycare & kinder.

My daughter has been with the centre for 1.5 years now. I've seen her learned so much, come out of her shell and become a much more confident girl now. The centre's update to parents are really frequent and thorough, weekly plans are set out in details, and weekly reflection gives parents great insight of how things are going at the centre. The educators invest a lot of time in writing stories and recording clips of videos of my daughter, her small achievements and sweet moments were all captured even when I am not there. I also received this letter from educator to my daughter, which is such a joyful read, and I'll definitely save it for her to read when she grow up. The staffs are all friendly and trying to help, so accommodating to parents' needs. And there was just one time, I got off a bit earlier than normal to pick her up, and saw through the window that one of the educators was cuddling with her in her arms, and my daughter laughed so happy. It's these small things give me confidence to send my daughter there.

My son has been going to this centre for over a year now and the care he receives here is beyond my expectations. Not only is he safe and happy, which was my main priority, he is valued. From the minute he walks in the door, he is greeted by Leonie who is the centre manager, who always has a minute to listen to D’s interest of the day. Usually a sore finger or whether the air conditioner is on or off.
All the staff, including other rooms know him and he knows them. I trust all the staff and know they are looking after and looking out for my son while I’m not there. And on top of all the singing and reading and playing he gets there, he will come home having learnt a valuable life lesson, whether it’s to cover his mouth when coughing or that he eats his crusts on his sandwich now. A fete I have not managed at home.
Highly recommend this wonderful centre, and the personal attention they provide each child.
