Tea Garden 红茶小厨 reviews
42Gave me food poisoning and the waiter was really passive aggressive for no reason.good aside from that I guess but probably wouldn't come back
The lady at the front counter was super rude. We made a reservation online and she refused to accept it saying that it was done 5 mins ago, which was not the case. Disrespectful.
Since the lobster was really cheap compared with few years back during the Christmas 2020, had one and I was amazed. Ordered lobster at other restaurants later on but never tasted so good compared with here. I’ve been here many times and this place always fascinates me.
Great service. Amazing tasting food. They paid our young kids attention when they were getting a bit restless. All while doing it with a smile.
Pretty awesome yumcha place for business lunch and has been our regular go to for years now. Have tried most of the dishes here and my favourite is still the turnip cake.
Always lovely great food and service. Getting back to business. Not quite as food as pre 2020 COVID. Hope they achieve excellence again soon.
Interesting little tea garden in Olinda right next door to the cloudehill gardens. Nice little water display and huts around the outside and in the middle there is the actual restaurant part.
We walked around but didn’t go inside to eat. They have some animals out the back as well.
A local favourite of ours. Dishes are made fresh to order, and delivered to the table quickly and with a smile. The service is wonderful. It is worth booking a table on weekends as it can get busy.
I Love hanging out here - the food is delicious and atmosphere very inviting. I hope to become a regular!
This little gem tucked away in a corner of a major intersection in Chadstone/Oakleigh is worth a visit. If you want to snag a parking space, then maybe come for an early dinner. The food is really good, but parking can be a problem.
I've been several times over the years here, and the food is always consistently good and satisfying. The service is sometimes a little slow and not always do the meals come out at the same time. There has been a time or two in the past when one person at the table was forced to eat ahead of the others because their meals weren't out, and it kind of defeats the purpose of going to eat out together, but of late, it has vastly improved. Perhaps they've changed hands, but either way, it's definitely better than years ago (so give it another try if that put you off coming here).
I usually order the Battered Chicken in Mandarin Sauce (pictured here but without capsicum, which is why it looks bare), or the Chicken Fried Rice. Also pictured here is the Deep Fried Ice Cream which I love. Not the best I've ever had, but quite good for sure.
I think the pricing of the food is good, the polite - if not spotty - service is good (overall), and it's not one of those restaurants where you're rushed out of the door. If you're looking for homey/comforting Chinese food, then this is the place to come!
Elegant ambiance, perfectly tasteful dishes and impeccable service. Most definitely will recommend and visit again.
I mean first of all, I'm not a huge of fan of yum cha but I'm sure if you do like yum cha, than you'll definitely enjoy this. The place is nice and simple, food comes at a reasonable pace while maintaining it's quality.
We have been going there since the week it opened.over eight years. My grandson at 17 months us now a devotee.
Havent found a place in Melbourne that matches it for price and quality.
Thankyou for many years serving my family.
Nice and quick service, food was probably a 4 out of 5, could do with a few menu changes but overall very good
This place is hit and miss, in saying that when it's a hit your in for some amazing Asian food the quality doesn't get much better than here. Hidden gem if you ask me. In saying that we have also had a few bad meals there mainly because the standard is usually so high there when it drops off you notice, so that's my miss aspect
We didn't book so they had to reconfigure the table to fit in 5 of us. They were really polite about it and made no fuss. Food was fresh and there was lots coming out. Staff were friendly and everything we ordered that needed to be made came out of the kitchen quickly. Great place for groups and families.
Tip book to avoid missing out!
A nice little restaurant located underneath the Punt Hill apartment complex. Offers fairly good yum cha in a neat and well presented dining room.
Had yum cha on a Sunday. Was able to book 15 mins before arrival. Service was really good and the place is clean and elegant. Food was fresh and long black was nice. We'll be back in the near future
Astounded this place has so many 5-star reviews. Food is good but quite slow, and it's ridiculously expensive for yum cha.
Inexpensive and nice yumcha food. More authentic food than most of other yum cha providers in the market
