Tavlin reviews
35My mouth is drooling thinking about the food here. It was a precious novelty to experience kosher Israeli street food in Australia! The meals and sweet treats we had were absolutely scrumptious with reasonable prices, and the service was amazing. Lovely owner. 10/10 recommend Tavlin, will definitely be returning next time we’re in Melb!
Delicious chicken shwarma bowl. Great portion and really fresh ingredients. Love this place.
Really nice place, at a bustling corner of Balaclava, good vibes. The owner was cool. People had a chat with nice random strangers, while I waited for my order. My falafel came out hot and fresh, accurately assembled and delish. It’s a bit busy there, lots of customers, but they’re efficient and food comes out fast. Highly recommended. My only rant is that I couldn’t find grapefruit juice (rare in Aus).
Food here is consistently fresh and delicious. I love the salads and the meat is cooked really well.
Fantastic food, this was my 1st time, and wouldn't think twice about going back. So good!
Ordered food for delivery off the website.
Got a call back to confirm a specific request, as opposed to just guessing.
American Guy on the phone was very professional and polite.
Food was delicious best fries in town.
Love this place, I am living here from Israel and it is the only middle eastern place I have visited which reminds me of home. Flavor is so authentic.
Outstanding wraps full of fresh and pickled vegetables and Smokey meat. Delicious, but quite expensive
I have tried the eggplant pocket, the lamb and the kofta (pocket and wraps) and the chips, a place that is leaves wanting to go back for more.
Delicious Mediterranean, middle eastern, Israeli food.
Best Shawarma I've ever had, hands down. All the good flavours and spices and freshness.worth every delish dollar!
Been coming here many years. The Iraqi bowl is one the best veg dishes in Melbourne. Period.
Servicewas disgraceful. Waitress has an attitude. When asked for a bottle of water & glasses was told to get it myself from a tap into a bottle with one dirty glass sitting next to the sink. My son got a mildly warm soup half filled with water. My wrap was served cold, at least the meat inside was warm. My son's felafel were served balls were cold as well.
Way overpriced for a sub standard meal. My forst experience in this joint & never again.
Poor service quality. I would not recommend this restaurant since there are several good one in the neighborhood. They ignored me completely and would not apologize for this bad behavior.
Great Sabich (or "Iraqi") and Shuarma! Authentic and tasty. But avoid their laffa (which is actually just a kebab flatbread), grab it in a Pita instead.
I ordered a pita falafel, and I have ended up with salad dish. The girl was screaming at me because of her coworker fault. REALLY BADLY SERVICE. I would highly not recommend it since they treat the customer like that way.
Even I have not got what I ordered, no correction was made, nor apology regard what happened. Absolutely, they do not care at all.
Such a lovely place to eat & staff is friendly. Brought my non-Jewish friends here to try some Israeli / middle eastern food. They give it a 11/10
The food is alright but this is one of the dirtiest places I've come across. I wouldn't eat there knowing that
Food here is incredible, fresh pita, fresh salads, I've always had a great experience here. Adi and the staff are wonderful, always looking forward to my next meal at Tavlin
Pita fell apart on first bite, offered falafels to make up for it, they never arrived. Had to ask about 20 minutes later if they were coming. Food was less than average tasting. I promised myself I wouldn’t eat here again because was not good the previous time, but friend wanted to go so I thought I’d give it another go. I wouldn’t even return for someone’s birthday.
