Amazing vibes. Owner is an amazing guy. Best fried chicken I’ve ever had. Great drink options.

Great chicken and chips to die for. Crusty and crunchy mmmm.
But
Their salad was overpriced and lacked freshness or quality.

Selection was minimal so expectations were high on having quality food on the small selection.

Only recommend the chicken and chips

Please never renovate, the building is so nostalgic for me. Food is fantastic. Tables are wiped regularly. AND it’s cheap!

Delicious, nutritious and very yummy! Hands down one of the best chicken shops in Melbourne never mind it's appearance it's all about the food and the food is scrumptious. I cannot recommend it too highly!

Love this place. Classic Aussie takeaway. Old mate even throws a few extra pieces in sometimes if it's closing time.

It's good food bur you have to go in to get all the extras, unfortunately if you buy online you can only get the packs rather than the packs plus other stuff like chicken nuggets or extra pieces of chicken or tenders

Meals are ok with the taste. The price is fair as well. But, customer service needs to be improved if he turns up some music instead of keep opening the news channels all the time.

Fried chicken was cold been sitting there all day chips overly salted, the decor is needs an update the plates were from the 70s Overall a bad experience will never go again how is this place still open? I mean at least try.

We have ordered 10+ group work lunches from Tasty Rooster. It has become our go to as we have never had a bad experience. Staff are efficient, friendly, and helpful in recommending how much to order for the size of our group. Chips are always perfectly salted.

Really enjoyed the charcoal chicken burger, and have had their charcoal chicken before and it’s really well done - tender and full of flavour.

The fried chicken wasn’t as good, pretty ordinary in comparison.

One of the best Charcoal Chicken in Melbourne. Really tasty chicken, the chips are crispy/crunchy and goes super well with gravy. Definitely recommended!

Disgusting fried chicken! Took one bite and immediately the stinch of the inners was an indication that it was clearly racid. Broke open the two additional pieces for a smell test to confirm that all pieces presented the same odour.yes & yuck! Hands down, had I eaten any of the pieces there's a high probability I would have incurred a serious bout of food poisoning.

Won't ever return

Staff are friendly but a little more attention to freshness of the food would be a big improvement!
