Tasman Butchers Frankston reviews
28What's this member rubbish they were talking about? A ticketed $8 mince tray ended up costing $9 because we 'weren't members'. What fresh new con is this?
Haven't been to Tasman butchers for a long time and we were unsure about driving into Frankston to them but may I say we were very surprised, They had a great selection of meats and other items to buy and the prices weren't too bad and the meat looked great. The staff were friendly and chatted with us. We felt it was worth the drive
I attended Tasman Meats on the 1st of June and normally I have a positive experience. However not today, the lady at the register was appalling with her service. My mother and grandmother allowed another man to go ahead since he had one item whereas we had many and she continuously told him to hurry up rudely without any manners.
My grandmother then was going through the registers with her items, she was constantly rude to her and told her to hurry up and pack despite going as fast as she could.
Shame the food is ruined by the service by the older lady with glasses on the register with no care or assistance. Disgusting attitude.
Won’t ever be attending again, disgraceful service.
Had been in here a few times over the years. Found the service to be good and friendly. The store was clean and tidy with the shelves being reasonably well stocked. Good specials from time to time. Good variety of meat on shelves.
Always buy my meat from here. Well priced and exemplary customer service, especially from Stella, she is amazing.
Always buy my meet from here. Well priced and exemplary customer service, especially from Stella, she is amazing.
I find Tasman Butchers very obliging, for example I needed 8 full Lamb Shanks, so they especially looked around to find Lamb carcases and got what I wanted.
The prices on specials are far better than supermarkets, otherwise the savings are better than Coles or Woolworths
We always buy our meat from Tasman.
Polite and very helpful staff. Delicious products and very reasonably priced.
As per previous comment I too was forced in a rude manner to use sanitiser. I have my own and had already sanitised. I felt belittled by how I was spoken to. In my observations I noticed staff members walking out the store and re-enterting without using the sanitiser, what a contradiction! If you are asking people to use sanitiser make it contactless, I certainly don't want to touch a pump that could be contaminated. To the young startup at the front door, learn how to speak to people with a tone that is friendly, not as if I have committed a crime. Won't be back, meat is also ordinary as per reviews by many. Don't bother responding with a customer service standard reply not interested.
Streets ahead of any supermarket, good quality locally produced meats at fair prices. Friendly staff and a full butcher's service available at the counter for special orders. One minor criticism, the in house sausages are much too salty.
Good range of meat, decent pricing. Early Monday looked like they were restocking so range was a little light but usually is good.
I've been grabbing a 2 kilo reg mince from here for a few weeks and I've gotta say it's just such bad quality.
I actually started going to tasman because I couldn't stand the amount of gristle in the mince from Coles or woolies.
I genuinely believed the mince would be better but it's not. The majority is just chunky solid nasty bits you can't chew with stringy bits or tendon that didn't get minced properly.
This isn't just once its every time I've purchased the mince.
This morning around 11: 20am at Frankston store, I was forced by staff to use hand sanitizer provided by the store before entering.
I told her I don't want to use that and I already used my own hand sanitizer called Zoono, which suits my skin and has just been approved by WTO having a 99% effective rate of killing COVID-19. She told me that this was store policy, everyone needed to use the hand sanitizer that Tasman provided before entering. I don't want to use the alcohol base hand sanitizer, as I have fresh wounds on my hand and the alcohol will hurt my skin. I believe there are people who are allergic to alcohol and your policy 'forcing people to use your mysterious hand sanitizer' is not right. I hope you can consider changing the policy to voluntary rather than compulsory.
Good selection, fresh and a few other little items you may not have seen since you were little.
Friendly staff, great products and they also have really good specials. Convenient curbside parking and lot parking available. Simmer sauces, pasta, eggs and wine. Only gave 4 stars because they only stock 3 bacon products.
Their prices are pretty decent and the meat is good. They're always busy. They have a few other things like marinades and sauces and spices. Parking is difficult. The shop is accessible.
Absolutely fantastic meat and great offers also the meat is so much better than aldi coles or woolworths.
The porterhouse so so tender and mince actually tastes like beef, After buying meat in tazman I have never purchased anywhere else.staff are always so friendly and polite.
I had the same experience as another customer, (Jake Vanderkolk) some months ago with mince from Tasman. I found bits of stretchy, stringy material in the mince. I returned some of it to Tasman as I had already cooked some of it. The stretchy stuff remained in spite of cooking. I was told that it was probably some of the "netting" that the mince came in. However, I was offered a replacement which seemed to be okay.
I was a regular customer and use to order in bulk on phone to pick up and collect my order every time. Staff girls provide good service but guy claims manager himself has no sense to speak to customer and not taking orders in advance as I usely place and claims last order was not Picked up, I can provide receipts or card transaction if ddoubt. While when boss is not around such things are common any way they don't care about customer as no competion in area. Cheap quality Not buying any more from this shop
We t to get lamb for a Giros, I was quoted $17.99 a kilo marinated, when isenta to pick it up, they charged me $19.99 a kilo, I was told that was the price them. Got the meet home and I could not beldade what they had given me, scraps that I would feed my Dog, big chunks of fat which I had to chuck out. When the meet was cooked was almost un eatable. Will not be buying from them again, if that is what they do to a customer that wants a good cut of meet for a spit, what would they do for anything else? Had to chuck most of it and at19.99 a kilo!
