Tarneit Central Meat and Fish

I would not recommend anyone to go there never ever. They are ripping people off with fat and dirty stuff. I bought 1 kg goat curry and absolutely there was no meat. I wish I could return it back and recover my money.

Really rude customer service. I asked for meat that’s not fatty, they are like nah, you have to buy from the current batch before we open one sealed

Please don't buy it from there. Very bad quality of meat. Also they don't clean at all. Bought goat meat but full of small hairs. When I complained about it they just ignored and the owner knew about the quality of meat but they still keep selling it. Very much disappointed

Absolute crooks. They display nice looking meat at front but pack out back. Got home to find that our 5kg for $50 Beef Curry pieces were not like displayed and just fat and bone pieces. Meat smelt off and I would not even feed to a dog. Waste of money.

Pathetic shop, pathetic meat and extremely expensive pricing. Most pathetic shop in Australia

I love to buy meat and fish from this shop. But today, I got cheated. I bought 2kg chicken curry but found over 1 kg breast and other non standard pieces. Totally frustrated. Please remember reputation is the main thing. Hope they would not do the same in future

At This place, Their customer side LCD to display bill is not working from last few months. They will weigh on their own and you have to trust that they are doing right. Don't know what authorities are doing in this.

In the name Halal meat, they may be selling sus-standard meat. Always got bad experience of smell during cooking. Very expensive and not revommended to buy meat from this place.

There is absolutely no standards here, tons of feedback to share but i will keep it to only few instances, I am sure owner does not even bother to read this anyway and this feedback will just be going in a wishing well. For customers - just don't go there.

Last week I asked for lamb shanks. They gave me frozen ones and did not even tell me about that. I realised it only after I reached home and took shanks out to cook it for dinner. Had to convince upset family that I will cook it asap. Spent lot of time defrosting etc. Today I asked for fish and the lady did not even know there exists a fish called pomfret, she was puzzled and came back saying no stock. I asked if she has any other fish of similar kind, she looked puzzled again (I was at their store at 6: 45pm). I had a doubt that she is saying no stock because they have to clean and cut the fish. So I asked her if it's no stock or out of time. Her response was 'no time hence no stock'. LOL. One bad thing they do is, they close their cutting shop/machine one hour prior to closing time. And today closing time is 8pm. So clearly they are not sticking to their words and there is no transparency from lady who was at the store.

There customer side one billing screen is not working from months. They just bill on their own and you even can't check the weights of items. Don't know what standard of service they are offering in Australia. Even as a customer I have told them twice for this but it don't have any impact on them.seems I need to change the shop.

WE BOUGHT GOAT MEAT AND THE QUALITY IS NOT GOOD AND EXPENSIVE. EARLIER DAYS WAS GREAT but now not a acceptable quality

Today I wanted to get a snapper to go on the BBQ. My number was called I put my hand up the tall woman said wait a min. I waited and waited. She then called out another number and looked at me. I said I'm still waiting. She came over and said yes oviously you are. I asked for my fish to be gutted. I them waited another 20 min to get the gutted fish that I payed for. 45 min for one fish. Very rude lady with attitude. The young lady there was nice and noticed I was there for ages. She did reasure me it was coming. Never again will I go back. This was the second time I had to wait for ever to get one thing.

$16.99 for "lamb bbq chops" that's nothing but 2 good slices of chops and the rest of the stack is fats, and they can only pack stack by stack! So essentially, take away the fats and you're paying around $30/kg for meat. No competition thus the poor quality!

One stop shopping - you can get all you need from this shop. Staff are friendly. Fresh meat, price compared to other shops in Melbourne area is cheaper that's why I go there once a month that takes 1hr drive from my place. More staff so you do not have to wait for long.
Communication through mobile, online etc is poor which needs to be improved. But it is understandable as staff are busy almost all time during the day.

The display price for lamb bbq chops displayed $16.99 they gave me another meat different from displayed one I ask why? They said the one that’s here is $25. Dishonest and bad customer service

Very slow service, staff roams around while customers keep waiting. Tarneit village or werribee plaza are much much better places

The shop and staff totally worst. Nobody have a good manner. They gave us wrong goat legs it’s totally cover up hairs and when we grab back they didn’t listen anything all one behave very aggressive. I suggest all one no visit this shop. It’s totally worst.

Came here to give a bad review but I guess the rest of the reviews says it all. We recently moved to Tarneit and this was our first purchase from this place. 4 Kg Beef with nothing but fat and bones.what a waste of money and time cooking it. How do you get sleep at night cheating people like this?

Customer service is really worst.
Team is serving their friends without the token no’s. While rest of the people are standing in long queue.
Will never recommend. Quality of meat wasn’t good even got a lot of bones with less quantity of meat.

Worst meat, it looks fresh in the tray but I got the expired cheap quality meat which smells odd. I never ever buy here
