Fantastic service, the gentleman that served us discussed spice level to make sure we were going to be happy, we are extremely happy with our hot curries. We have been here twice and had an excellent experience and excellent food both times. The prices are also very low.
We will be back.:)

Can say with no doubt that Tara’s is the best Indian I’ve ever had. The customer service has always been top notch, and they’ve always gone above and beyond for us!

The food is amazing, cannot fault it. Best Butter Chicken & Chicken 65 I’ve ever had!

If anyone is in Melbourne, I definitely would recommend you eating Tara’s!

I’ll be back again next weekend x

We've been coming to this friendly restaurant since 2007. The service is very good and the dishes scrumptious and the spiciness prepared according to your wishes. Prices are very reasonable My favourite is the Malai Kofta.

Can't seem to give it half a star hence having to be generous with 1.
This place needs to understand etiquette in dealing with a customer before running a business. Absurd rule of not permitting dine-ins for orders below a certain amount. I would still accept this if it were said explicitly BEFORE an order were placed instead of handing a customer a takeout and then asking them to leave, casually mentioning this ludicrous rule. Not to mention the venue was nearly entirely empty so it's not like they had a deluge of customers streaming in and clamouring for tables.
Pathetic.

We’ve been going to Tara’s for years. Never had a meal we didn’t love!
My partner is a fussy vegetarian & with 16 vego mains to chose from, she always finds something delicious. AND: she’s also wary of meals being too hot (spice wise)
At Tara’s, mild means mild!
Quite rare in an Indian restaurant!
We love Tara’s!

Excellent Food and staff. A must have is the tandoori platter. Everything else was also highly enjoyable!
The food remains delicious even after being cooked with minimal amounts of oil and the naan is great!
Overall, a must go to Indian restaurant that I will happily continue to eat at with my family!

Awesome butter chicken and Nann bread. I got takeaway butter chicken, saffron rice and 2 nanns and had plenty for 2 meals. Good level of spice and great flavour

This place is so unassuming. Service was great, food was sooo good and prices are the most reasonable in the area. The ladies here are really nice too.

I had ordered a butter chicken and a serve of onion bhaji. Both were disappointing I could even finish the butter chicken. As you can see the butter chicken I received was bright red looks like the chef added red food colouring to the curry. It was also way way to sweat for butter chicken tasted more like a Chinese sweat and soure source. Ontop of the disappointing food it was far to pricey for what is being served. I can guarantee that I would be able to find better tasting butter chicken in the frozen section of Coles. Would not recommend save your money.

I adore their lamb saag, it is predictable in taste and quality. Since moving out of the area and trying our local Indian restaurants, I have always returned to Tara's for the taste and service.

Across the board wonderful food, very reasonably priced, run by charming attentive people. We recently had a big dinner group through. Everyone left very happy. A brilliant experience all round. Thankyou!

Bariyani I ordered smelled so bad as if it was cooked days ago. Or maybe wasn't left it in the fridge from yesterday. As soon I open the container I can smell the rotten creamish smell. Ewww. Very disappointed. It was my first and last time trying this joint.

The most pathetic and tastless Chicken Biriyani, even the quality of the rice used was so poor, that was not Basumati rice. It was like eating plain steamed rice. Never again will be buying any stuff from here. I wished there was an option of giving zero stars, I would have. And I hope others will be reading this and giving some second thought before ordering or going there.

Amazing food, however the staff could improve their social skills, don't really interact with their customers in a friendly manner. Not rude, but just a little absent in their demeanour

Had yet another delicious dinner at Tara’s tonight.

The quality and quantity of the meat is always great, tender beef and tandoor charred chicken in our curries was as always, super tasty.
At a medium-hot spice level, it’s perfect for us as chilli lovers but still mild enough to enjoy the taste of all the food!
Highly recommend the family pack!

This is not the place for authentic Indian food. The butter chicken was in this sweet neon orange sauce, can’t even call it curry. Someone mentioned in one the reviews it’s like canned tomato soup, and that’s exactly what it is. The Rogan Josh was a random lamb curry but definitely not Rogan Josh, and again, didn’t taste like much.

The only positive was the raita was a nice thick yoghurt rather than watery which can be the case at most places.

I’m shocked by the high rating on Menulog but I’ve now realised, that the good reviews are probably not by anyone that knows authentic Indian food. And that’s why most of the low ratings are understandably from Indians or similar background, like myself.

Not really sure why they charge money for this food! Not even worth 1 star
Food and staff behavior both worst!
