Terrible wontons, dumplings were fresh but pork filling was dry, other food was disappointing as well.service and ambience was ok.

Amazing dumplings! Each dish was perfect and service was very quick and efficient!

All dumplings were vegetarian with a nice mix of fillings compared to other places that opt for only greens. The pan fried were definitely the favourite, the chilli left something to be desired in terms of flavour I was expecting a bit more.

The fried noodles with vegetables were so tasty and the noodles were very fresh. The Chinese broccoli was also fresh and delicious.

Dumplings here are fresh and delicious. There's also an extensive menu beyond dumplings (recommend trying the honey prawns)
Staff are attentive and friendly and food is brought out very quickly.

Tao Dumpling is an absolute gem in Northcote! The moment I stepped in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable.

The best dumplings shop, the food was so amazing, and the best friendly service️ I love the taste, and the number of dumplings was well sufficient. The desert banana fritters and. Fried ice cream was so damn yummy. If you have a sweet tooth, then fried ice cream is a must-try ️ thank you for such a tasty treat. The price was normal and affordable

3 times I have tried to phone an order through and every time it just goes to message bank. When I go up to the restaurant they realise someone hasn't hung up properly.but it happens every time. It's really frustrating.

Tasty dumplings and S&P calamari was delicious. Smaller servings and yet now higher in prices.

We all know we are looking for that 1 restaurant that ticks all of the boxes, this restaurant I gave all 5 stars as it beat any other restaurant in the surrounding areas

It were not another restaurant that served their cultural cuisine as slapped up as the others

The food presentation were inviting to the ears
The flavours of every dish quenched every taste bud in the mouth, the sauces that flavoured the dishes, were not over powering and each bite melted in your mouth as you couldn't wait to try the other dishes ordered wanting that same succulent experience as the 1st

The service were wonderful, the woman who served us were polite and read back our order to be sure she had everything correct

The food came promptly one dish at a time, that before our eyes we were surprised at the volume of food on each plate

The salt & chilli prawns were perfectly cooked, the prawns did not drown in batter like may restaurants do with their battered dishes, these prawns were lightly battered to give a crunch as you bite into it. The batter, salt & chilli, did not over power the main star of the dish, being the prawn

The sweet & sour pork dish (not being a favourite of mine) has changed due to how delicious this meal tasted. The pork were tender inside of the batter shell, again the batter were not thick as other restaurants tend to do with this particular pork dish.this pork dish I will definitely buy again but only from this restaurant

The Chinese vegetable dish were fresh with the sauce not overpowering the tower of green which melted in your mouth enhancing your taste buds wanting more

The peking duck pancakes, melted in my mouth and made a very satisfying entree as did the very delicious vegetable spring rolls in their crispy batter

The other dishes ordered by my friends, I did not get to taste, but according to the compliments they made about their dishes, they were equally satisfied as I were with mine

The whole cost of our meal (8 dishes in total incl drinks, some dishes not shown due to being eaten up lol) were very affordable and not over priced like many restaurants that serve terrible food, plus the amount of food we received per dish were very very generous!

I encourage you all to try this restaurant out for yourself, I am sure you will be more than satisfied with the service, food quality & flavours! Book to be sure you get a seat

Went here before a show and did not know what to expect, but we were blow away with the dumplings. They were perfectly made and and the meat was soo juicy.

Nice meal, take home what you can't eat.
Chairs looked plush but weren't comfortable due to a low back.

One of my worst experiences ever

Called 30 mins before for my order,
Arrived and was told to wait another 30 mins.

Then mentioned how I ordered an hour ago
And they told me they gave my food to someone else.
Gave me a refund but wasted whole night.

We never got a menu, even after asking for one several times. Left after being constantly ignored.

This place is amazing! Would highly recommend.

The staff were lovely, the service was quick but the food still fresh.

The ribs are to die for and the dumplings are a close second

Good food. Crispy duck, stir fried veggies in oyster sauce and dumplings were really good. Customer service is not to par with food. The eldermost lady didnt make us feel comfortable with her actions.

Below average dumplings. I had just prawn dumplings. Very small and not succulent. Nice chilli oil though.

When I'm craving a good dumpling this is my go to! Always consistently tasty food - some faves of mine include - pan fried lamb/beef, salt and pepper tofu, steamed lettuce in soy and the salt/pepper chicken.

Very rude customer service. As soon as I entered from the door the waitress at the till was bothered for no reason. She was murmuring something. I personally felt very bad. Food was good but the customer service made me feel worst. Guys don't go to eat there. They are racist.

I have returned to this restaurant multiple times. The dumplings are so soft and juicy, I cannot recommend the food highly enough. Absolutely mouth watering and friendly, timely service.

Ordered through uber eats. Dumplings came burned and black. There's no way they didn't know they were sending them burned. They stink
