It's good to know there's an Australian martial arts shop with really cool stuff. I used to have to get these kinds of items from the US but now I know where to get it locally. Highly recommended!

Awesome family owned store tucked away in Ringwood.
Stocked shelves with good clothing, pads, kick shields, helmets, gloves, gi's to practice swords, bo's, Kali sticks. And with the correct permits metal swords, Sai Swords, butterfly swords, nunchucks, three section staff, etc.
Very knowledgeable staff ready to help you find what you're looking for.
Books and DVDs available also.

Love this place. Buy all my karate equipment gear for my two girls at Tans Ringwood. Catherine and her family are so nice and have always looked after our needs. My eldest even perforned in their charity Diner event a few years back. Definitely be back.

One of the best martial arts supply stores in australia, they have been around since I was a kid (and I'm old). They have you covered for all needs in the way of traditional martial arts, uniforms, training gear, protective gear, weapons, and books/dvd's. Excellent customer service, good prices, and knowledgeable staff. They have high end brands as well as their own line of products- which I have found to be quite good quality. Overall highly recommend Tans from beginners to advanced.

Fairly decent range of martial arts equipment, but store is dated and dusty. Stuff everywhere. Service is friendly, but very slow. Still had what we were looking forward (knee guards for wrestling), just don't be in a hurry if you visit.
