Tanglewood Estate reviews
28Absolutely breathtaking! We eloped at Tanglewood Estate and it was the most perfect setting. We used the chapel for our ceremony and took photos around the estate including the heart shaped lake. Donna was easy to communicate with and very accommodating for our very small event. Truely worth the trip down the dirt road!
A wonderfully Estate with beautiful views and outdoor settings for that special countryside wedding.
Very hard to find and do not use Google, the directions are very confusing and they dont have a PHONE NUMBER TO ring and get directions. Very Poor, we tried for 90minutes to find the location and estate only to find at the end of a dirty dusty road it was closed with "no phone" to contact them. 2 Stars for location and one start for the site. Poor website too.
Don't recommend. Terrible communication. Tried contacting several times to view the place and was left on seen
We were fortunate enough to be able to have our wedding at Tanglewood and the team (Donna, Ash and Nick) were absolutely amazing throughout the day and for all the lead up beforehand. Every part of the venue - The Barn, The Studio, The Chapel, The Tanglewood House - every part was stunning.
Thank you Tanglewood Team for making our day so special and making it possible!
Shared a Tai Chi class in the most serene and beautiful estate. Magical new old feel buildings as well as replaced older buildings. Stunning bay views, from a peaceful country surrounding garden. A perfect wedding venue with a rustic vibe.
Went to a wedding on the 11th of November. Absolutely stunning!
The food was amazing!
To note: Do not drive a lowered car though! The road to get there is dirt and quite bumpy and had a lot of potholes. Worth the rough drive though!
After 3 postponements, we FINALLY had the wedding we had been dreaming of at this incredible venue!
Quite a few years back, I saw a picture of Tangles on Instagram from a guest that attended the owners sons wedding, also being the first wedding they ever held there. I somehow hunted it down as it wasn’t advertised yet and finally got to visit this incredible place. We initially weren’t looking for me and my now husband, my family and I were helping my sister find a wedding venue as she was living in the UK at the time. When we arrived, we knew it had to be the place but secretly I was thinking ‘if I get married, it must be here too… what do I do? ! ’
Fast track to now and both my sister and I had the privilege of getting married here. We both had 2 very different weddings but to be in the same location was very special.
Special because of the beauty of the venue and all it includes but also special because of the wonderful woman behind it all, Donna. Donna is one of the most genuine, humble humans I have had the privilege to meet and she made our journey so seamless and special. Every postponement was never an issue and the support she gave was always beyond our expectations.
Tanglewood has a very special place in our families hearts and especially mine. The surroundings make you feel very relaxed (very good on your wedding day!), and like you’re in another world.
I wouldn’t fault a thing, the perfect venue.
Thank you Donna and family, it was a day we will cherish forever?
We looked at a number of different wedding venues, but new instantly that Tanglewood Estate was the one! Anyone who's visited this estate would agree its one the most beautiful and picturesque venues in Victoria. The owners and staff were a pleasure to deal with (including accommodating changes due to Covid) and we could not recommend highly enough. Many of our guests commented how stunning the venue was and our wedding photos turned out amazingly due to the beautiful natural scenery and rustic buildings (not to mention the lake overlooking Port Phillip Bay)!
We had our elopement at the chapel with our closest family and friends! Donna was so amazing with date changes due to lockdowns, She made the whole experience easy and effortless. The space is beautiful and the photos at Tanglewood are AMAZING!
Friendly, warm and welcoming events team. Incredibly helpful with suppliers which only means that they would cater exceptionally well for their guests too.
A beautiful place for a wedding venue. Really worth the travel. Was here last weekend for a friend’s wedding. The view was breathtaking, Nice Chapel and reception/restaurant. Staff are very nice, friendly and helpful. Will surely recommend.
What a outstanding place this is.
Mike came out and offered us a cold drink.
25 years in the business and this would have to be the first time any winery staff member has ever done this.
Thanks again Mike what a great asset you are to the venue.
Ladies, if you're thinking about having your wedding at Tanglewood Estate but you're unsure, I say absolutely go for it! Just attended the wedding of the decade here and all I can say is wow! The property itself is on secluded land with a charming little chapel where the ceremony was held and the reception is in a equally amazing converted barn, that has incredible views of the bay. The staff were all super professional and attentive to all guests and certainly helped make the night memorable. I would love to return to the Estate in the near future.
What a beautiful venue Donna has! We had a small outdoor wedding at Tanglewood and Donna has been amazing to work with, she has taken so much stress off our planning and has been so accommodating with our requests, even at short notice!
On our wedding day we could have not have asked for more. All our guests commented on how Tanglewood is a hidden gem! We can’t wait to come back to visit. Thanks Donna!
We LOVE Tanglewood. The whole place is truly a photographer's dream. It’s the perfect picturesque hideaway set on over 50 acres of beautiful gardens and vineyard. You can choose to have your ceremony in the lovingly restored 110 year old chapel, or out in one of the many stunning spots on the grounds. There’s a studio for pre/post ceremony drinks, a barn for your reception or the option of setting up a marquee or teepee on the grounds. The options are endless and all have the loveliest feel, so whether you’re hosting an intimate lunchtime affair or a wild into-the-night party, we promise you won’t be disappointed! We wish we knew about Tanglewood when we got married, if we were to do it all again it would only ever be at Tanglewood!
Beautiful Chapel.
Breathe taking views
Yummy meal.
Fantastic celebration of my neices wedding.
Beautiful venue with great guest bathrooms to use.
Food was excellent with tasty vegetarian options.
Hands down, our favourite place to photograph/film on the Peninsula! The surrounding bushland is just magical and the owners are just all round legends and a dream to work with for couples.
As a marriage celebrant I love working at Tanglewood Estate- it is a beautiful property hidden in the middle of the Mornington Peninsula. So many different ceremony location options and photo hot spots, there is no need to go offsite. There is also a chapel for wet weather days. The barn is stunning for your reception. Highly recommend!
