TANG Food Emporium

Personally, I think this is the most convenient store in the center of Melbourne where you can buy the most Chinese food.

Excellent range of Asian groceries and alcohol including Korean, Japanese, and Chinese products.

Fairly annoyed, I’ve been twice to this store to get Blackpink Oreos which I understand can be sold out however the TikTok account mentioned that they’re restocked and literally 15 minutes later after rushing out of my house the lady says they didn’t even have any in stock for the day to come back maybe in the afternoon no guarantee they have it. I’ve now wasted my time heading into the city dropping everything for this item. Just disappointed perhaps in the future for popular items pay beforehand and then collect it when in stock. I was even happy to pay double the advertised price for the items.

Dishonest groceries. I buy things here regularly and often got double charge (not just one occasion). DO NOT BUY FROM THEM AGAIN!

Terrible service!

Was purchased a box of cherries over $80. While a staff just took it away and said no such cherries available. Her attitude was very rude, disrespectful! None of store manager or supervisor engaged for the whole process! Extremely terrible service! Terrible! Terrible!

The service deserves zero star! 1 star is a real bonus for their service. The store owner should improve the staff training!

Is a good place to explore Asian groceries such as ingredients, sauces and instant noodles. Most of the prices is cheaper compared to other Asian groceries

One of my top CBD asian grocers, have a reasonably good range with very good prices. Chinese/Korean/Japanese/South-East Asian cuisines, and more. Usually have to wrestle your way through the store due to small aisles and many customers, but worth it!

I was n this place for 50 minutes. Its awesome. Better than a book shop. Left with heaps of new products to try.

Not many choice, The price is higher and the best before date was only a few days away. Staff was just rude, so really donot wanna coming back ever. After i replied the shop, they never come back to me

Get most of what I need from this Asian store. Right price. Sometime may get some good bargains.

I usually go shopping in TANG, it’s cheaper than many asian groceries in CBD. Products are quite diverse: chinese, korean, japanese, etc. Sometimes I can buy things in my wishlist which are on sale, so happy!

Staff can say Cantonese, plenty of Asian - mostly HK/Chinese stuff can be found here. Not need to travel to CBD that often if living nearby.

TANG is life, i come here once a week or more for export products like Kiyo grape juice, Ottogi cheese ramen or many of the different types, Coolish chocolate ice and sometimes the nectar drinks like peach, grapefruit or orange. Some stock can be missing for extended periods especially frozen items but there is mostly an alternative, there are specials but these change slowly even considering export product prices.

The selection of asian snacks, food and alcohol is amazing! The staff are efficient and friendly!

The guy in the cashier is bad manners, I'm holding something. He snatched it from my hand and when I back home, the items were not complete.

I come here at least once a week if not more because it’s the closest Asian grocery store and I genuinely just like browsing. The shelves are well packed and they usually have decent rotating deals!

On January 24th, I decided to buy some wagyu karubi slice from the frozen section for $18.90. There was an expiration sticker that said May 14,2022. On my walk home I decided to just peel the sticker and underneath it had the actual expiration date which was January 24,2022. I understand it’s difficult to discard all expiring items, but to place a sticker on it with a future expiration date is a bit shady in my opinion. I got a refund immediately and the employees themselves seemed a bit taken aback. I don’t blame them.

I don’t want to give the store one star because I understand how difficult it must be for small businesses and ratings can affect future business, but I want to give my feedback.

My friend visit this shop few times and he was so happy about the product and service. He loves the peanuts.

Reasonable variety of products; a lot of instant noodles, Korean and Japanese items. Not as many South East Asian products.
