Recently Gary restored an old oak desk/table for us and from the moment of initial contact to collecting it last week, the experience has been 5-star! Gary gives a thorough quote and information about the process he will follow. Then during the process Gary emails with photos to ask for your feedback and opinion re oils to be used, preferred finishes etc.

They are in the process of reopening (new website soon) and have shifted slightly to more upholstery but still do expert/great work. Gavin just helped me with a coffee table and the service and quality comes highly recommended.

Gary completed an amazing restoration of a 1971 Kaukas wall unit I inherited from my Dad. He found and ordered long lost parts from the U. S.and manufactured a single metal fixture when we realised we were one bracket short. I am very grateful for his help in bringing this family piece of history back to life.

Gary did a fantastic job restoring our water and pet damaged MCM bar/cabinet. Even the guys who did the delivery for me were impressed! They're recommending Tane all over town. Our 85+ year old dining table was getting wobbly and the boards on top were damaged and also coming apart. Gary had the skill and the patience to disassemble, repair, re-glue and re-nail the table. It is as good as new now and I'm sure it will remain so for a long while. Aside from being an artisan furniture restorer, Gary was also prompt and great to deal with.
