Tandoori Times Yarraville reviews
79 We went there on a rainy winter arvo on Sunday. Found their prawns pakora amazing. Here's my opinion on the dishes:
1. Butter Chicken - You are one of the few in Melbourne who's have cracked it.
2. Prawns Pakora - Awesome (I personally like the batter coating to stick a little tighter to the meat. Taste and texture were perfect)
3. Paneer Pakora - Awesome for a rainy afternoon. Wonder how you manage to keep the paneer so soft.
Keep it up. We will be back soon.
Best indian food in Melbourne. Kind staff and delicious food. Highly recommended to indian in Australia.
The best butter chicken my partner and I have had. It does get busy during the weekends but it is worth it.
One of the best biryani I have eaten in Melbourne. Very delicious including the raita that came with it. Good quantity. Money well spent.
Service was amazing (it was a real fun night: p), food was also amazing. The spice level was probably purposely dialed down to suit our tastes but not mad about that lol.
One of the better tandoori chickens I've had in terms of texture (not overly cooked, juicy and smooth). The flavour of everything was just the right amount of spiciness, yet didn't compromise on the spice-yness. Would 100% come again ;)
The food was excellent, the sauces were the best part.
Naan was probably the only part that wasn’t up to scratch - taste wise.
What really let the experience down though was the service, we had to repeat ourselves a few times to actually receive our food/drinks.
We had dinner last week 6.5.2022 we have very horrible experience ever in our life for indian food.
We order Goat curry but they served us all bone only 1 piece of meat in the bowl and charge nearly $30 per the served.
Unfortunately my husband lost his tooth because he the bone hit his tooth and next day he has to take the tooth out.
We informed the staff our experience when we paid the bill but they have no respond at all, this is extremely bad service ever restaurant.
Don't ever go to this restaurant.
One of the best Indian restaurants in Melbourne!
Been here few times and never had 4 star experience.
Horrible, the Goat Curry was soup with 4 pieces of bone with a tiny piece of meat on each. The only meat I scaped off I bit into and it had shards of broken bone which broke one of me teeth. Going to the dentist on Monday.
Unbelievable food- flavour, authenticity, smell, presentstion!
Very beautiful and interactive staff, lovely atmosphere.
Great taste. Rara goat ghost is must must try. Punjabi butter chicken was awesome. Breads were also good followed by delicious house made pan kulfi and gulab jamun.
Next time, don't forget drinks. Will never order from here again. I have to wash down the bad food with water because they couldn't use their frontal cortexes and pack the drinks, which makes it even worse.
First time amazing but each time got worse and worse the more they see you the more they think it’s ok to drop the standard! Last time even mango lassi glass was half full! My wife and I don’t complain we just stop going!
Food is usually great, tonight it was phenomenal. Is there a different chef on Tuesday nights?
Always get the lamb saag, almost everything else is great. Madras is fantastic too.
Hands down best in the West, and possibly the southern hemisphere?
Amazing Dine in Experience!
The Delhi Goat Masala Curry is to die for.
Service was phenomenal.
Will be recommended to everyone
We had the most delicious tandoori chicken tikka and daal palak tonight. We often get butter chicken and even that was somehow even more yummo than usual. Ordered directly from the website and the meal was delivered piping hot. We're regular customers and very glad to have Tandoori Times as our local / best indian restaurant!
What a lovely little spot. We walked in discussing take away or dine in and the aroma made the decision for us as it smelled of intoxicating deliciousness so we took our seats.
Their specialty Tava Curry, was a delight and the naan was remarkable. Then to wash it down with an ice cold Kingfisher on draft was so nice.
The staff were so friendly and I can’t wait to go back and try the rest of the menu.
As a final note, the company, this wonderful woman who I get to spend my time with, was also a highlight of the meal?
Best tandoori, I am written this review after trying this dish in many places. I am a home cook and I know how hard it is to balance the flavours, It is so perfect, I definitely suggest this dish.
They serve the best butter chicken in town. Chickens are marinated and grilled to perfection, together with sauce which is the bomb. Highly recommended!
Always great Indian, whether eat in before a movie at 'The Sun' or takeaway.
Authentic, spicey, hot and tantalizing!
