Talami Vietnamese & Chinese Restaurant reviews
20We had beef pho and there was hardly any ingredients in the bowl of noodles. Soup was over salty and pungent for my taste. Nit really value for money. Shall go back to Springvale for pho in future.
ITS just super awesome and the food is ssooooooo good, I love pho and the people are really kind and my mum really loves the homemade tofu, good job guys. Super good 11 out of 10
Really nice steamed cod fish a 10/10, fried kang kong (water spinach) in belchan (shrimp paste) with lady’s fingers (okra) & eggpant, scored 9.5/10. The fried calamari was soft & battered crispy, 10/10. The tofu was nice too, a solid 9/10. A definitely repeat. Good & friendly service. A definite repeat.
Appears to be family run restaurant, serving good hearty meal with generous portion. The salt pepper chicken ribs were seasoned perfectly, with mountains of salad on the side. Great place if you happen to be in the area and looking for a quick lunch.
We went to this restaurant with a group of 11 people. They set up a table for us upstairs where we all sat in comfort. We ordered the food and waited only about 10 minutes before they started serving us the soup we ordered. The shark fin and crab soup was excellent. We ordered some Kung Pao Chicken and Mandarin Pork with steamed rice. The kids had a yummy seafood noodle from the wok and a few of us had some lychee shakes. Overall the food was so delicious and the staff was so kind and helpful. Highly recommend and we will definitely go back to try the rest of the menu.
Delicious Bun with spring rolls. Tom Yum Noodle Soup was generous. Good value, highly recommend.
The food is delicious. Cannot take that away.
But, the service for our meal was so bad that we don’t plan to return.
We had a booking for dinner. We were seated by the staff at a table (6 people) and then asked to swap tables cos another family wanted our table, and they supposedly booked earlier than us. OK
We placed our order and asked for everything to come together vs phased out. We waited over 70 minutes for our food; one entree and one main came out in the first 20 minutes, but no rice for the main. Asked for rice, and it came in three separate bowls rather than the casserole. Asked for a casserole, asked for napkins which were rationed, and asked for tea, but no serving spoon for rice, empty dishes sat at the edge of the table for ages.
The meal was just painful because of the awful service.
Great Vietnamese restaurant with an upstairs area for big groups. The food is great and my favourite is the spicy chicken ribs with Tomato rice (extra for the tomato rice). Highly recommended.
It's not big but the food is really good and the staff friendly. Try it you won't be sorry but advise booking.
The beef pho broth was tasty but the meat was fibrous & tough. Vietnamese dry noodle (Bun Thit Nuong) was good, among the best i have tasted.
I revisited with my children over the weekend. Place was not tom crowded. The food has remained consistent if not better. Relaxed atmosphere and good food.
Food is delicious but it is tainted by the poor service. I actually witnessed the table next to me asking repeatedly for their food, and all they got back was. "yes yes it's coming". Only one person received their main meal, while the other 2 got to watch.
It spoilt my experience because I felt sorry for them. When they decided to leave, they were pressured to pay for the food in take form. Seriously? The meal should be free. As I left I saw another time demanding their food.
4 staff members running around and disorganised.
As for my meal, well it didn't brought out the same time. So I got to watch my friend eat for 5 mins before I got mine. But the Com Tam is good, missing pork floss like the picture showed but I didn't want to contest.
Viet ice coffee is also packet form. Not proper Ca Phe Phin style (filtered).
Cosy garden ambience and great pho. Tried the raw beef pho and the beef was tender and tasty. Will definitely recommend my friends here.
Absolutely pathetic service. We ordered 3 mains and a entree and had to wait for a long while before we got one of the mains and the entree. After repeated attempts to ask where the other two mains were we decided to cancel the orders and leave. Upon trying to pay for the dishes we received we were told we had to pay for the ones had not received also. This did not go down well and after exchanging some heated words we only payed for the dishes we received. I do not recommend this place as they are very disorganised, do not provide good service and worst of all they are not honest.
This restaurant is amazing. The food they serve is the real deal. I'm truly convinced that it is authentic Vietnamese food.
Came here for lunch on a Thursday and the place was quiet. We were served quickly and ordered beef broken rice with a colleague ordering Char Kwai teow.
Our meals were freshly cooked and came out in around 10 mins. The servings were quite large, tasty and good value for a sit down restaurant meal
We'd happily come back again. The only suggestion would be to perhaps have some outdoor seating if possible.
Note that this Vietnamese place only open in September 2019 and all the other reviews are for the previous Korean restaurant.
The Vietnamese food here is closest in quality to what you get from Springvale when compared to other Vietnamese joints in Glen Waverley. The people that cook this food clearly know how to make authentic Vietnamese. I tried the Broken Rice, Spring Rolls and 3 colour drink today and they were good. I'd have liked the serving size of the broken rice to be a bit bigger, and the 3 colour drink to be slightly sweeter. I'll visit again to try their other dishes, and am happy an authentic Vietnamese restaurant has opened in Glen Waverley. I hope the next time I come, I'll be able to bump my review to 5 stars.
Been their twice so far and the beef pho has been supurb each time. Also really enjoyed the spring rolls and dessert options. Customer service is fantastic and their chef is great. Definitely a must visit for authentic fresh vietnamese food.
The worst food I've ever been served I got the black bean pork what I found when I got home was some cold noodles and some clumpy thick black goo to mix in the dumplings were just a clump of pastry over cooked by days by the look of it if I didn't live so far away I would came back and would have made the lady behind the counter eat it I'm not saying they were racist but the other asian people in the resteraunt were getting nice looking meals but me being Aussie get served this sh! T
Good vibes, excellent service, decent food size, great taste and very reasonable price. For me this is the best family restaurant ever. It was busy on a Tuesday night. If it was in CBD it would also be popular. Will definitely revisit.
