34Poor customer service and generally aloof attitude. I have seen expired produce at discount but not clearly marked as expired.
I went there yesterday to buy groceries. Cane home with expired packet. Was expired in march 2023 and the owner still prefer to put it in the shelf. Atleast let the customer know while billing that this is expired.
Great variety of products, Shop owner is very Helpful you will find lots of options for utensil.
Please clarify if you support Khalistan. Our future shopping with you depend on your answer. We love India and want peace.
Let me start by saying I have been shopping from this lovely business (moving between 3 different locations) for over 12years now of which 2 years I have lived in Canberra and yet every fortnight I came to Melbourne I shopped here as I couldn't find things I like and the brand I am familiar with anywhere in Canberra.
The lovely gentleman (who works so hard day and night for his family and the community) and his wonderful wife (who works full time for the community) along with the different staff I have come across over the 12 years have always been helpful and if there is something I can't find, they come over and help find what I need. At times if I can't find something or there isn't something they have ever stocked, they made sure they got them for me even though I am the only one who had requested for that product.
I always wanted to write a review for this business because not only they are a good business for the community but a wonderful family who I respect and they make me feel at home away from my actual home. I started addressing the gentleman and his wife as Uncle and Aunty which they have happily accepted me addressing this way.
Sometimes I send my Australian partner who has no idea what is what and where things are and with just a video call, they had helped him all the time to get what I needed.
I have no words but be thankful and grateful for keeping the business open all these years, especially during this pandemic when many businesses have closed down while even with all the struggle (which I have come to know in the past years), they have managed to open the doors and welcome with a big smile.
During the festival times, from fresh sweets to Rakhi, they make sure no one misses out anything and/or doesn't have to go elsewhere looking for it.
Now let me talk about snacks. I am a food lover and every time I shop I tend to spend minimum 150$. Yes, over the years prices have increased which is acceptable but their quality never wavered. The snacks I like used to come in small 250gms or maximum 500gms pack which I need to buy multiple packs to satisfy my craving but now they started stocking 1kg packs. This is just an example of their outstanding customer service. I didn't even have to ask them but they observe, understand and know what their customers want.
I have lived in Australia almost 19 years now and have shopped in many Indian grocery stores but this business always has everything I need and know that they will get it for me if anything is not there.
The lovely girl who works for uncle and aunty has the best customer service just like uncle and aunty. They have been places who just sit and watch TV or play with their phones while the customer is in the shop however in this business, they always make eye contact and provide the best customer service I have ever experienced.
So thank you for being there for me, my family and for the community. I will always shop at your business for many more years to come. Appreciate your care and kindness towards me and others even after a hard day at work while you brighten up my day.
Thank you thank you thank you
You are the best

A store that holds a huge variety of Indian food products, daily care products and fresh delicacies. You wont miss home (India) for this store satisfies all your taste buds and daily requirements. Customer service is great too. Highly recommend one stop shop for Indian subcontinental products.
Cheapquality products with nonsense customer service. Not maintain mask or qr scan code. Few customers are there without mask. Learn some manners how to talk with customers.
Waste of money
NoT recommend!
Very very costly all products and most important expired. Such a cheap quality. Don’t go here and don’t waste your money you will be regret after buy. I have wasted my money.
Best grocery store. Highly recommended. From last five years i have been shopping from this store. Very friendly staff. They have huge variety of things. Competitive price of every thing. Must visit
What did you mean not using face mask and not scanning QR code?
Visited a few times. Lots of great products but customer service is not that great.
Five star service A1 owner, I and my wife have been shopping here for the last two years and believe me we get to feel as if we are shopping in India. Most if not all items are available here, you name it they have it. Just started buying Kisaan milk (full cream wala) and it's awesome, I guess the only shop in eastern suburbs that has it. Small local business owner with big honest heart, support local buy local.
I’ve been coming to this store for the past one year and my husband has been shopping here for over 3years. We highly recommend this place because they have everything we need and great customer service.
I am really sorry to see this negative comments about expired products and our Indian community really need to learn more about food safety standards! It is legal for them to sell the items past the best before date! It does not count as an expired product. So please educate yourself before defaming a business.
Really well stocked place. Owners/workers are really friendly and will go out of their way to help you. Down side: prices are much higher than other Indian grocery store.
Good indian and pakistani grocery shop.u can get shan and national masals, wheat flour and Basmati rice and lot more
Owner is very rude.he dont know how to talk with the customers.really not happy with their customer service
Very rude eg uninterested in customer care. Talks over you or ignores you. The stock isn't as fresh as it should be. Multiple other Indian people have shared the same experience. Won't be going back and do not recommend this shop as it is also very expensive. This is why they have a low review rate!
Best Indian grocery store in town, very friendly staff and all varieties of groceries with very competitive price.
Most of the things sold here do not have the current price tag on it. I wanted to know the price of a packet of powder green Cardamom but I was also rushing to get all the other stuff, I placed the packet in my basket so that I can ask about it later during making the payment. However, once I was there it slipped my mind and everything was rang up, then I saw receipt after making the payment that the 100gm powder cardamom cost $16 (so expensive) so I immediately informed the cashier that I didn’t want it and wanted a refund. The owner of the store was just sitting there and got very upset that I asked for a refund and addressed me in a very loud voice (almost shouting) in a very rude tone that now he has to give me the money in cash rather than returning it through the card. I said I was fine with it. He got even more upset and said that he had to give cash out of his own pocket and that it’s not easy as his etf system doesn’t have the return function and told me very sternly that next time to remember this and to shop only what I wanted instead of returning stuff. I didn’t say anything there as there were other people who was just looking at me and I felt humiliated. I am a customer I have the right to change my mind to the last minute if i don’t want something. You are a store owner you are supposed to be prepare for these kind of situation, instead of asking a regular customer to remember something and humiliating them, spending some money and get your etf machine upgraded. If the 5 km rule was not in place, I would have returned all the Indian spices I had got that day. You lost one customer for sure!
