Taj Agra reviews
45Ordered takeaway tonight thru DoorDash and was the best dinner I’ve had off DoorDash. We got pack for 2 and it was will be ordering again soon. Thanks for the quality dinner
Chicken biryani was Very salty.
Butter chicken was ok.
This place used to be better in the past
Have eaten twice here, chicken lababdar and goat curry are my favourite. Customer service is very good
I went and phone ordered two different dishes for pick-up. Once I picked up the food and got home I found that the order was incorrect, instead of a Lamb Saag I received Lamb cutlets. I phoned them up as soon as I was aware of the error. They corrected the mistake by delivering the correct meal free of charge and I also got to keep the Lamb cutlets. All in all I am happy with their service, every company can make mistakes but it is how they rectify the mistake that shows how they truly value their customers and if they are worth dealing with them again. The food was also very tasty, especially the lamb cutlets!
Been there so long it's a significant part of Ringwood's history.
Lovely food without a doubt.
Always a great little restaurant with wonderful staff & a really nice atmosphere.
The food is divine, banquets are great with all you can eat refill! The shop is always busy with customers and take away.
The rest rooms are a bit messy but they are clean.
Have been to this place over a dozen times in the last 20 months! Will continue going back.
Update 2022, same great staff and atmosphere. Still enjoyable and everything is still relevant in older review.
We have been using Taj Agra every other week for the last 6 months. The food and service are pretty good. We thought that we had found an alternative to our favourite since moving from the hills. However tonight has changed my mind. The massive price increase is just unreal. Our usual order which was just over $50 is now $70! Sorry chaps, but this isn't within our budget. We won't be back.
Best Indian food ever. Service was great. No complaints whatsoever. Will go again and highly recommend.
Owner himself attends to customers which shows care and business sense.
Food delicious (embarrassed that I couldn't eat all that I ordered). Customer service lovely.
Absolute perfection as always! Ordered the beef vindaloo and garlic nann. Food arrived hot and fresh, curry well balanced and deliciously spicy. Order arrived so quick. Made my night. Thank you ️
The banquet was great with a very tasty butter chicken. The service provided by the waiting staff was very good.
The saffron rice was perfect, and the goat masala curry is amazing, fall-off-the-bone tender and flavours sure to delight the most demanding palette.
(I bought take-away as I live over 100 km away, and I still have a traditional goat curry and a lamb rogan josh to look forward to).
Hortible food. Did take away. Tandoori chicken was just red coloured roast chicken with no flavour. Wont eat there even for free.
Delicious food, fantastic service! We have been coming here for years and will be coming for many more! Taj Agra is a family fav!
Looking forward to more yummy food soon.
Do not order the banquet style menu, it is a rip-off.if there are left overs on the table, they will not let you take away the food that you’ve already touched. This is was strange.the appetisers from the banquet menu were not fresh, they seemed to be frozen and reheated. It was a disappointment for the amount of money we’ve paid.
Great food, Beef Vindaloo and Aloo Gobi were tasty. Nice atmosphere with friendly staff. I can see why this place has been open for such a long time!
Tasty and fresh food and not greasy. We ordered butter chicken and lamb saag with garlic naan and it was the best I’ve had in the area. Not sure what all the negative reviews are about, yes the prices are a bit higher than average but they’re nowhere near astronomical. Would definitely recommend.
I ordered butter chicken, daal makhani, paneer tikka masala with garlic, butter and cheese naan bread.
All of the curry were based on same gravy which tasted very sweet even for butter chicken it had strong sweet taste, didn’t like it at all.
Daal makhani was okay, but paneer tikka masala was sweet and didn’t like it either.
Garlic naan bread was unacceptable, there were too much of fresh garlic and turmeric in the bread, the taste was awful.
They must be using some sort of food colouring because al of the food had the same dark red colour and all of them taste the same.
For a take away worth over $80, I would not recommend this place for dinner.
This place used to be our favourite choice for Indian food. I just went online to order a family pack (was $60 a few months ago) it’s now $110! Seriously? We gave the Taj Agra a break, as it felt the quality of the food was dropping, and we wondered if it was because we were ordering too often. So disappointing now with the price hike. Looks like I’ll be going back to Phoolwari
First time to this restaurant tonight (31/10/2020). Very very impressed with the food and the service. Friendly unobtrusive staff. All meals delivered were very tasty, and everyone left satisfied. A lovely night out. Recommended.
