Tait Mitre 10

Looking for a specific silicone sealant looked to be a problem when i walked in and noticed the empty shelves. They were empty because the hardware is closing down and relocating to Clayton. I was told where to look and thankfully it was on the shelf. Thanks folks i hope the relocation goes well.

Bought a Yardforce mower from the Waverley store in March 2022, which now has a leaking fuel tank. Initially promised a full refund due to the serious fault, but was later denied because it's 3 months out of warranty. The review process took an agonising 4 weeks including head office, and despite their website claiming they have the discretion to offer full refunds, I saw no such consideration. The store manager even avoided speaking with me. Extremely disappointing customer service. I won't be shopping here again.

Really handy if you live in Glen Waverley or Mount Waverley. I went to the shop as prices are about the same as their well-known competitor and they offer discounted gift cards.

Good place to go. Reasonable price plus helpful staff. Especially for some stuff sold out in Bunnings lol, mitre 10 won’t let u down

Absolutely horrible attitude of staff that treat me like a second-class citizen not worth her precious time. Unknowledgeable, cranky and dismissive. Recommended I paint chairs in wall paint (!) because she had no clue and just wanted me to leave. Have been there a number of times because it’s close and convenient and it’s always the same. They never even know how to use the machine to mix paint colour. Never again. I’ll be driving out of my way to get friendly and knowledgeable service at Bunnings.

Went to Bunnings several times but they still couldn't sell me just the screws. In desperation, I remembered the Mitre 10 along High Street Road have assisted me in the past. The moment I entered the store, I was greeted by a staff member that offered to assists me. She took my sample of the screws and took them to a gauge that measured the length and thickness of the screws. She then located the screws and told me to try them.
She even said to return the screws if they don't fit. She must have spent almost 20 minutes on my sale which only totalled $8.00. I then told her that I really appreciated her service and will definitely recommend my friends to shop there.
At Bunnings, you are lucky to locate a team member to even attend to you in less than 15 minutes.

They refused to scan my rewards card and give me the points for my purchase, despite the card being registered to the store. They treated me very badly at this store. I would not shop there again.

Helpful and friendly staff ensured we were able to get the products we needed. Stock wasn't available at this store but a few phone calls tracked down the product at another store. Appreciated the extra effort to help us.

An absolute waste of time - 30 minutes of my life I will never get back! I had previously visited this store on Sat 05/01/2018 and found some products that I was interested in. These items, I was told, were from stores that were closed in QLD. I returned to the store, Monday 07/01/19 and found a number of items, that I was really interested in. At no point in time, was I engaged by a staff member, I walked past 3 separate members, one on more than 3 occasions that dropped his eyes (not the one at POS, but possibly the line manager) and ignored my presence, one at the call counter that looked at me and said nothing and one at the front counter that said "hello" upon my entrance to the store but offered no further assistance. I personally had to approach the person at POS to ask for assistance. I have never come across a person that was so disinterested in their job, and someone, who did not have the company catch cry of "Can do! ". Upon posing my enquiry, the staff member made cursory enquiries, but offered no solutions. I had a number of items in my basket to purchase, and due to the disinterest, shown by the staff member's I returned all items to the shelves and walked out. Would I return - NOPE!

Went to Taites home timber hardware knowing what i wanted to do my job, to be followed around the store and made to feel uncomfortable, as soon as you walk in the the store there in your face, was not happy to have my receipt thrown to the counter when i purchased my paint instead of my hand i understand good service, but i think its a joke.

Tait deserves top marks. These people are all genuinely friendly and always very helpful. Prices are competitive - in fact their timber prices are often unbeatable, especially if you have a large building project like a big garage. Some of their specials are really cheap - watch out for them. It is much faster to get served and out the door here than in big stores Bunnings for example. Sure, Bunnings might be a dollar or so cheaper on somethings, but what is your time worth? Parking is plentiful, too. You won't go wrong with Tait Home Timber and Hardware.

Great range and quality of timber and building supplies. Good service. Will cut timber to size. Spacious, undercover drive through.

I wanted to fix a leaking wash basin and could not find the washers to seal the leak at Bunnings Narre Warren and support was very poor. I visited Tait HOme Hardware, their customer service was very good and helped me to find the correct spare part.
Liked the service and good place to shop if you haven't got much knowledge in trades.
