Tacos 'N' Tequilas

Great food & atmosphere. Staff are fantastic & very attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant.

Staff were nice and the drinks were alright but the food was not the quality I expected had the chimichunga and it was barely edible. Wouldn't go back

Just OK.nothing to write home about. The food portion sizes were also very small for the price - probably wouldn't come back as there are much better and affordable options elsewhere

Burrito and chips off uber eats. Cost me 28 dollars. Could've eaten 4 of them. Smallest servings ever!

Our experience was nice decor, staff pleasant, good service. However, over priced food and drinks. We ordered nachos, which was $22 and then had to pay extra for guacamole (crazy) and chicken. It cost close to $30. I don’t mind paying this if it’s good. But this was a small plate with about 10 corn chips and a few pieces of chicken. Really let us down. We were regulars at the previous Mexico City and our expectations were perhaps too high.

Great food. The ambience was good and they were accommodating to a larger table (10 people) but this was before the dinner rush

Fantastic meal at Tacos N Tequilas in Elsternwick. We had the Fajitas - the proportions were and the service was speedy as well as friendly. This was among the best Mexican meals we have had in Melbourne.

Amazing Mexican restaurant in Elsternwick. Terrific food, drinks and customer service even better. Prices are nice. We ordered quesadillas and enchiladas plus beverages (one mojito and one glass of chardonnay). They have some special tequilas, mezcal and Mexican beers.

Ate here twice recently.both times - great food and helpful but not pushy (i.e. Perfect!) service.

Possibly best nachos ever - con carne topping was so yum.

Margarita - 10/10!

Amazingly tasty food, drinks & cocktails. Had such a lovely experience here. Friendly service & filling portions. Can't wait to come back! There's so much tequila!

We had the two tacos and chips lunch special. Best tacos I’ve had. Fish taco was fresh, crisp and flavoursome. Chicken taco delicious.

Walked past and decided to stop in and have lunch. The burrito with chilli con carne was delicious and the staff were friendly (and wearing a face mask properly!).

Will definitely be returning.

After years of eating at the previously named “Mexico City” and never having an issue and always experiencing amazing food and service we were extremely upset with the quality and lack of service.
The waiter had no idea about the food, chicken wings came out raw and the main meal burnt underneath. What made matters worse was the attitude of the manager and his lack of any apology and still felt ok to take some money from us.
Will never go back and a real shame that what used to be our favourite Mexican has been ruined.

Went there last week with my boyfriend where we had the jalapeno poppers, a beef taco.a chicken burger and chicken enchiladas - all were phenomenal! The serving sizes were generous, the spices were spot on and we shall definitely return: D

Delicious fresh and tasty nachos! The tacos were amazing, especially the fish ones they were delish. Love the sangria too - definitely give this place a try

Mains were good -we enjoyed tacos, quesadilla, burritos etc. Lots of flavor. Thought there’d be more on the tequila/ marguarita side from the name …only let down was desserts - churros definitely out of a packet not from scratch.

Went here with my friend Jeremy, Jeremy thought it was the best Mexican restaurant in the area. I thought the same!

It was pretty good. I was quite happy with the portion sizes and the prices were fairly standard. The fajitas had quite a bit of sauce going on in the mixture, so possibly reducing that would be my only feedback. Thanks!

Authentic Mexican or not, you don't call yourself TACOS AND TEQUILAS and not offer hard shell tacos.

That's not the reason for the 2 stars however, the chicken in the single taco I ordered came out cold, it clearly wasn't fresh. They remade it for me and the remake was much better, though shouldn't have come out as poorly as it did in the first place. It was fine as far as fast food goes but for the price charged it needed to be restaurant quality and it just wasn't. 2/5
