Sweeney Reserve reviews
29 Great sporting centre for young and old. Take a casual walk or indulge in cricket, soccer, rugby, tennis, basketball, bicycling, and even a kids' playpark.
Warning contains snakes and, during heavy rains, flooded pathways. There is so much potential for the local council to do more.
Someone took the soccer goal nets out of the synthetic field. We need them back. No point playing soccer with no nets. Thanks!
This is a good place for a play. However, the entry/exit to the tennis courts is very difficult as there are huge pot holes.
Great place to walk dog there's lots of sports fields and walking tracks just remember to bring bag for your dogs land mines
Good but the exterior grounds could be better kept by the local council grass was rather long
Nice tennis courts and so far always a court available to play. Great coach there for teaching the boy too.
Cow paddock
Ground is a bog pit
My cousins brothers uncle has a turf company must have been given the tender to do the job looked on you tube have to lay turn but not the preparation
Football ovals had well draining surfaces but the ability to park anywhere around the complex in wet weather was horrendous
Great outdoor park for walking/running/cycling, with varied sporting fields available for public use.
Great place for family and young adults with kids play area, relaxing pond, plenty of playground, walking paths bicycle paths, and more. Some walking paths can be blocked due to water flooding
A very safe and lively place. Great for outdoor sports. Tennis, Footy, Cricket, Soccer and Softball to name a few.
Large Park/Sporting area. Facilities for most ball sports including softball. Great play area for kids. Quiet a large facility
Great place for recreational time during lockdown, just wish people wouldn't have their dogs of the leash if they do not have total control.
The walking trails and paths up to and around Sweeny Reserve are a great benefit for the local community, especially in these current Covid times.very popular on the weekends.
Great place to explore with the kids. But could do with more plants and less grass to encourage more native wildlife.
Fantastic reserve, the park is enclosed and has a small shaded seating area.
The park equipment is made from metal so we can not play here on a warm/ hot day. I feel like if the park was updated to modern safe equipment we would spend a whole lot of time here.
Reserve has great parking and various sporting grounds. It seems to be a population spot for bike riding families and walking the dog.
It’s very close to my house so I’d love for the park to have a facelift!
Good place, very large with places to play baseball, AFL, netball, and soccer with a good walk. Just doesn't have any drinking taps so be sure to bring water.
We recommend this for anxious dogs as you have lots of space, shade, trees and can avoid stressful situations. Video reviews at powerpooches.com
If you're looking for a sport to play, then you may find what you're looking for right here.
Softball, AFL, Cricket, Soccer, Tennis as well as a few Netball courts & I think there maybe a Baseball diamond somewhere near the softball diamonds.go & take a look if you're interested
Sweeny park is quite a large park that is host to a vast amount of ovals and open areas. There are a few that are moderately fenced in and are suitable for well behaved dogs. There is a small playground for kids in the middle with some good swings and play equipment. Multiple large soccer fields and netball courts are also present. The distance of one lap of the paved area is about 2.5km for those of you running. There is also a pleasant wetlands area towards the freeway which has some chairs and a bridge with a gravel path which is nice for running if your knees don't agree with the concrete.
Parking is substantial but tends to fill up on the weekend very quickly when there are football or cricket matches on.
Be careful if you have a dog with a high pray drive as there are plenty of rabbits around and they might cause some trouble with wayward puppies.
There are a few club houses down there but they don't seem to be used very often for some reason, but maybe you'll have some luck saying hello!
A few pokemon stops and gyms if you're into that kind of thing, but have to get out of the car to reach a few which is good/bad depending on what you want. It has multiple nests so you're likely to get some good mons!
That's about it. Vote for pedro.
