Swatch Melbourne Collins Street reviews
15Worst customer service ever, I called the store and enquiring one of the stock, the guy that answered the phone was so rude! Come on man you are selling swatch not Rolex
Experienced a disgusting display of Swatch staff inciting FOMO for customers interested in the Blancpain and Omega collaboration products. Lining up customers like cattle and pressuring the buyer experience.
They expected customers to choose what variant they wanted before opening up any boxes, claiming that there wasn’t enough table space to see all variants. Customers were discouraged on trying on the pieces. Also told that one purchase per customer was allowed, only for a person to purchase 3 of the Swatch x Omega product without staff intervening or explaining the ‘process’.
The ‘process’ was explained to reduced the onselling at exorbitant prices, but this experience just demonstrated Swatch’s underhanded control to keep stock low to inflate exclusivity.
This behaviour to inflate the value of the product didn’t stop there and is the reason I won’t be shopping at Swatch.
If they produced product to satisfy demand, those on sellers would lose their advantage.
Brilliant service from Shandon at Collins street today 12/1/24. A friendly greeting as soon as I arrived and his efficiency helped me to buy a second watch when I was only going to buy the Neon.
I hope Shandon’s exceptional service is recognised. I’ll be back to keep adding to my collection
Yonathon was able to replace my Swatch new for old despite being just beyond warranty. Excellent service and much appreciated
2024: Now that the Moonswatch craze is over, you can grab one at the normal price.
Maybe just put the funds towards a real Speedmaster.
What a collab though. Genius.
Friendly staff, free battery replacement, super cheap cost for a repair that turned out to be more difficult than expected. Thank you, Lee.
Staff were friendly and helpful. I visit Swatch Melbourne whenever I’m visiting from North Queensland.
I stopped in browsing for a new Swatch and Lee was super helpful picking out the piece that best suited what I wanted.
Lee assisted us to buy our son his first watch. Friendly, patient, warm and made the experience easy.
Since they relocated here from Chadstone, the team are definitely humming a much cheerier tune. Extremely well managed queues for their special product launches, with a more than adequate level of security present.
Bought a Moonwatch here as a gift, I made a mistake on the model, cameback next day to exchange it and they refused to help coz according to them the watch was already used, which was untrue, long story short they made me buy a new strap for $40. Be aware of unwilling to help customers behavior - also they don't provide refunds for in-store purchases, you are better of buying online.
Melbourne Collins Street branch very helpful informative staff. Purchased another watch and had 3 existing Swatch watches from my collection, free battery changes.
It has a lot varieties and stuff. The staff is helpful and friendly. You can change your swatch battery as free and polishing. The price should be down 30%
Nice boutique store with wide range of Swatch watches. The staff were very nice and friendly.
Not impressed with the swatch omega debacle, moving store from Chadstone to the city and then you have to call to check if stock coming in but if you wait before you come into the city there will be a line and no chance to get a watch. Really not great experience. Most people live outside to the city. Waiting hours with a glimmer of hope.
Staff nice but Swatch need to seriously do something about this and maybe create a wait list. Guy took his watch off day before before going into the store as he wanted to buy the same one again for resale!
People with limited time are really being challenged to the edge!
