Swan Street Sales reviews
32Beware! Do not buy from these people, rip off merchants, expensive and very dodgy! One star is one too many!
Wow, it's huge. An amazing array of home improvement, furniture and bathroom and kitchen reno gear. Very impressed
Would not recommend! You go there thinking you can get a decent price as they market themselves as warehouse sales and you get ripped off. I purchased a shower screen and then later realised they charged me significantly more than RRP (over 50% more). Their mark ups are ridiculous. You're better off going to Reece plumbing down the road. Would never shop there again
Judith very helpful. Went out of her way to help us. Have purchased all kitchen & bathroom items from her. Thanks Judith.
Fabulous product Fast shipping.
I would not hesitate to buy from this business again
Thank you so much it's 5 stars from me, couldn't be happier with my new caravan table top
Excellent old school bathroom kitchen laundry, furniture, carpet and other home furnishings in inner Melbourne. Always well stocked and with great service, prices and online store
Great old school style furniture and Joe wares store in Richmond and plenty of outdoor and indoor furnishings and furniture, office supplies, bathroom kitchen and laundry supplies. We’ve been going there for years and always found the staff and service to be friendly and knowledgeable so recommend it
Have been going there for years would have given a five stars if I wasn't so cold in there
Swan street sale's has been there for 30 yrs that I know of. It's a place that has stayed the same but changed. I had no intention of going inside but a fan got my attention and walked in. The fan was a blade less one and not a Dyson which means it's expensive but not Dyson stupid expensive. While inside I thought I would have a look and see what it had. It had some nice tables and butchers cutting blocks. And on the other side it was those nice white stone stand alone tubs that always reminded me of ancient Greece or Roman baths. And everything else that belongs in a bathroom and a of course a toilet. Personally I walked out with this nice small wooden box which I like. Places like that it's good to always drop in if you are looking to buy something for your house. Mainly because a lot of thing's come in and they don't really get big numbers and have them just sit there. There's always a chance for something good to show up. If you live in Richmond nothing is ever to far away plus it keeps those stores open and let's be honest, if you want to have those shopping strips and not have to go to a shopping centre or the city. Then the local community is the only ones who can guarantee that can happen. Shop local
I guess you get what you paid for. I bought this table 24 months ago, it's been under a pergola the entire time (not that it should matter) and this is what's happened (see pics). Been given the cold shoulder from the manager, doesn't even reply to emails. My advice is just pay a little bit more and get better quality furniture.
I would definitely go to this place and see the product before you purchase. Products are very poorly kept. It was like stepping into a trash and treasure market for new products. I noticed a $1k tap just thrown on the clearance table opened dusty and scratched. Not what I expected at all for $1k tap, even if it was reduced. I believe the original price was $1200. The place is definitely a warehouse feeling for a street frontage. It is located directly opposite a high end car sales and not what I expected for that location. Considering the price of the products and the number of people that work there I was a little surprised at its state.
My purchase was damaged and sadly only discovered when I got it home. Disappointing but not worth the drive back or the hassle of a return.
I would definitely consider Bunnings if I was purchasing without going to the store.
Don't be fooled with discount prices. It's not the same quality. Within less than 24 month of usage they need replacement. Would like photos of more than 18 damaged chairs? Contact me!
Manager? After many calls she called back to offer me 30%discount on new ones. She is a bullied and I can't afford to buy them again.not even at discount! Dont do it. Pay more for better quality
Very impressed with their customer service. Bought a flat pack bookshelf today. They asked if I wanted them to assemble it.at no extra cost! Good old fashioned customer service is hard to find these days. I’ll be back! Of course I said yes ;)
Great value & friendly knowledgeable staff.
Wish we had known this place earlier in the renovation work.
Absolutely appalling that the owners tore down the original Art Deco theatre interiors as the building was about to be listed. They have destroyed an important part of Melbourne’s history - they have no shame! Disgusting people.
Terrific location inner city for renovation furnishing appliances and bathroomware. They’ve been here for years and know their stuff, always giving quality service. Great website and online store with the luxury of visiting in store to see and discuss the products or to pick up. Good clearance options so I’ve bought everything from second hand filing cabinets to tables and laundry taps.
Absolutely great experience from start to finish. Their website is so easy to navigate, especially compared to other carpet stores.
Instore they have an impressive range of rugs to choose from.
Judith is so friendly, helpful, patient and knowledgeable and gave us great service and fantastic advice. Choosing a rug was made easier in the knowledge that I was able to return and exchange it if I didn’t like how it looked or the size was wrong.
I appreciated Chris loading the rug into my car.
I came home with an awesome rug that perfectly finishes off my living room. Thank you so much Judith!
I cannot recommend Swan St Sales highly enough!
A great place to get a bargain great people on the floor. Great brands especially in the bathroom area. It's great they have Methven
Lots of great items. We got lots for our new house build. Great knowledge from the sales rep too.
Excellent service.
Parents and I attended Saturday to choose carpet (after having John measure) and was laid today.
John and his team in flooring were an absolute pleasure to deal with.
Service and advice was second to none.
Highly recommended.
If need floor coverings you have to see John and the team.
Thank you so much on behalf of my parents you made them so happy.
