What can we say but WOW! Sutherland Estate is magical. A delightful quaint estate that is perfect for that intimate romantic setting. The perfect proposal spot either inside by the fireplace and stunning views, outside on the deck with views in every direction or with a platter and bubbles on a picnic rug on the lawn. A visit to Sutherland Estate will have you falling in love and quickly adding it to your favourite places to visit list. Cathy and Angus are the most welcoming of hosts and will always make you feel welcome. If you get the chance to, do yourself a favour and stay a few nights in one of the Towers on offer at Sutherland Estate! Pure magic and oh so relaxing. The beautiful sunsets and sunrises on offer just add to the beauty of this stunning Estate. Sutherland Estate sits in first place of our favourite places to be and we look forward to our next visit and stay.

We looked at many places in the valley for our wedding location, before settling on Sutherland Estate, and our day went perfectly thanks to Cathy and her team. Both Cathy and Angus were great to deal with throughout the journey, and the little relaxed touches like always having a cup of tea or coffee on when we'd visit for planning really helped us feel relaxed and at home. A beautiful location, highly recommend!
Amazing location. Breathtaking views in the heart of the Yarra Valley. Delicious wines from a sparkling Tempranillo to a gorgeous pinot noir (did I mention the heavenly cheese platter?). The owners are just lovely. We stayed a couple of days in the onsite accommodation built into a tower at the side of the cellar door and had an absolutely magical time.
We had a wonderful couple of hours at this small family-run winery yesterday for the Shortest Lunch event. On top of a hill with a warm fire, beautiful long distance views through the enormous picture windows, and great atmosphere, the owners and other staff are so friendly and helpful. And the wine! Some of the best pinot, shiraz and sparkling tempranillo around. Definitely worth a visit.on repeat
