I don’t think the service of Sushi Hub in Southland is good enough. The staff were arrogant. Once I had to ask three times to a lady of serving me a paper box instead of bags, as she kept giving me paper bags.

Was doing some shopping and refuelled at Sushi Hub with their end of day $10 deal. $10 for 4 rolls (which my husband ate) or $10 for 6 nigiri (which I ate). Good to know they sell through their stock and it’s fresh every day

Purchased 5 rolls of sushi & asked for some soya sauce. The lady nodded & put some in.only when I got home I realised this was a farce as none were in there. Even though I don’t know of any other sushi place that don’t offer soya sauce, if she were honest with me I would have been prepared to pay for them

I bought a platter from Sushi Hub Southland near kmart and they charged me $200 instead of $100. I called them and asked them to fix this. I provided my bank statement. They said they would call me back. They never did. I called a few times. Every time, I had to explain the situation again. They were so unhelpful and wasted so much of my time when it was their mistake. The manager then said it would take their accountant a week or two to figure out if I had actually been double charged. Finally, I had to call their head office. Then, they fixed it. Mistakes happen. I would have been fine if they had tried to help me quickly. Be careful with eft there. They will not help you if they make a mistake.

This would be THE only sushi shop to not include soya sauce with the sushi hand rolls! Purchased 8 rolls, hungry kids, no soya sauce! PATHETIC

Best sushi near the cinema, but I was served by a short girl who wear a black face mask, she was rude and served me with a poker face, I think she really need more training on manners. Terrible experience

I went to buy my lunch from Sushi today and was shocked at the terrible attitude of the staff working there.

I was served by a lady with a name starting with Q.
She said Hi to me when I approached the counter and that was the last word she spoke.
After ordering she  walked over to the payment area and just pointed at the eftpos machine and didn’t even advise me of the total cost for my food or ask if I would like anything else or if I needed any soy sauce, wasabi, napkins or chop sticks. When I said can I have some soy score she chucked a handful of soy sauce packets onto the top of the counter for me to have to collect my self. I then had to also ask for some wasabi.

While I was there waiting to order her and another staff were also so rude to another customer.

They shoved two hand rolls into a tiny containter container which squished the two handrails so much the filling was oozing out.

The lady asked if she could have a bigger container to put the hand rolls in so it wasn’t squashed and she girl rolled her eyes and just had a horrible attitude. I could see the shocked look on the other customs face as to why these staff where so incredibly rude and unhelpful.

If you want to work in customer service at least smile and be polite!
I certainly won’t be going back to this Sushi Hub again!

Horrible service! I never buy less than $15 in this place because my kids like it but every time I asked for a free miso soup/green tea for more than $15 purchase, I got a grunt from them, if you don’t want to give us free stuff, don’t offer!

My favourite sushi place.
The salmon sashimi is my favourite followed by the chicken katsu in brown rice &the salmon avacado in brown rice.
The food are fresh&well prepared.

Chicken teriyaki salad is always delicious with a beautiful serving of sauce. Everything is always fresh as they are a very popular eatery so the food turnover is high. Definitely give the teriyaki tofu rolls a try, very nice.

Sushi rolls are carelessly made, falling apart.
Don't taste very nice either. They use some cheap tasting soy sauce.

Disappointing. Sushi rolls here are 25% more expensive than others yet served with watered down soy sauce.

Favourite sushi place! I always get the avocado brown rice which they make fresh for me and the quality is consistently amazing. The avocado is always so fresh as opposed to other sushi places I’ve tried and they’re always so generous with the amount they give. Keep in mind it is a little pricier than some other places but the quality and size of their sushi keeps me coming back

Good fresh selection. However as someone else said standard have gone down since covid times, maybe cost cutting. Our rolls were only half full, I complained and they say some filling may have fell out.bs.

I've noticed their standards slipping for a while. You also get less bang for your buck as prices go up and content/ingredients is reduced. Also getting tight with the condiments. 3 soy sauces is not enough for 8 rolls. Used to be good.

I'm a fan of the franchise especially the one at Swanston St. However, I had a very unpleasant experience in Southland. My order had a hard plastic among the rice AND I saw 2 COCKROACHES on the point of sale where the attendant was slowly processing my refund. Regardless to say that I was not hungry after that and therefore I do not recommend this place.

This is the freshest sushi in town, good service, good selection and good prices.
