Surrey Park / Arthur Field reviews
34Very pleasant park with lake and waterbirds. Good facilities for gatherings. The model yacht club sails on Wednesdays at lunchtime, great for a stroll if you work nearby.
We know it as Surrey Dive. It's a wonderful resource. There is a track around the lake though the trees with great views across the water to the old Brickworks. Used by walkers and joggers. The lake was once part of its quarry. The are barbeques, new toilets, shelters and two playgrounds. The ducks sometimes have competition from radio controlled boats and yachts.
A really peaceful park with bbq and play ground facilities. Plenty of wildlife with the water. I love going for a walk around the track.
Always peeps walking their dogs & sitting out by the water chillin.
Has parking.
Share the tranquity and view of the trees n ducks and model ships or boats to take away the stress. Found it right in the middle of Box Hill
I spend the afternoon in Aqualink, but showed up as Arthur field. This is the place next to Aqualink, with the small pond where the radio control sailing boat are having a race. I haven't been to the park for ages. But this is quite a nice place to spend the afternoon with the family.
My son and I bike about 5Km that day and after swimming we bike back to complete our mini marathon goal that we set back in 2019.
Good looking park and lake, also has a good playground, the lake has model boats on Wed/Sun.
Good park for kids and has public toilets
Great park for a stroll or for a barbecue with friends. Has barbecue which are maintained well and under cover sitting area. Very popular with local family so can get busy
Superb place for kids and adults. Walking, cycling, running, strength training, playground for kids. Pretty much everything is there. There is also public restroom and it was quite clean.
Great park. Good facilities for families, young and older children. Ovals for footy, courts for basketball, and a pool right there for the hotter days. It also has a lovely little lake if electric boating is your thing.
The place is very quiet and peaceful. We had a great time! One of the best playgrounds in area and amazing lake with abundant birdlife
A great spot tucked in amongst the eastern suburbs, with a playground and lake along with lots of sporting facilities, it’s a great spot for all the family to enjoy. The Model boat club meet up on the lake and do some sailing, which is entertaining to watch along with the ducks swimming around.
Nice play equipment for the kids, and beautiful walk track that goes around the lake. It is a good place to walk the dog, and to exercise.
Good place.
Have every sports Venus you need.
Swimming center, bball court, oval, running track etc.
A small, bustling place behind Aqualink — there’s BBQs, a playground and a lake (once a clay pit). Easy to find parking, even on a weekend, and a nice place for a family outing, though the walk around it is relatively short. Many places to sit, seeing quite a few people settled down just to watch the ducks. Home of the Surrey Park Model Boat Club.
Love what this park has to offer. The Local Government has done a superb job revamping these spaces a few years back.
For such a small area, it's packed with lots to see, touch, play and enjoy all rolled into one spot
Amazing park with lake that's hidden away off station street.one of the best playgrounds in area and amazing lake with abundant birdlife
Surrey Park, Box Hill, Victoria, Australia. Its a wonderful park, situated in Box Hill Area, Melbourne (Vic), Australia. Whenever, I am in Australia to visit my son and his family, I often visit this park with my 2 grand-children, who too like this place very much. Its a huge park, with a big swimming pool, vast play area, cycle and walking tracks. An artificial small lake is also here, which gives a natural look. Lot of ducks are here. A boating club is also functioning here, where small toy boats are played with the permission of boat club.
A volley-wall court, small cricket and tennis play grounds are available. Anybody can come here, there is no entry ticket.
From Box-Hill Central metro station its hardly 15-20 minutes walk. In fact, its a wonderful place to play, relax, for all age group people. There are lot of playing activities for small children.
People also come here for picnics and small social celebrations. For the comfort of picnic parties, there is arrangement for cooking gas and hot-plate etc.without any cost. Drinking water and an ultra-modern toilet is also available.
Really a very soothing and comfortable park with all facilities.
Really lucky to live within walking distance of this great park. Large playground with bbq and toilet nearby. The kids always have a great time at the playground and checking out the model boat races. There's also another older smaller park nearby.
