SUPA IGA Brunswick reviews
61A bit chaotic. Good range of interesting Mediterranean specialties that most supermarkets wouldn't stock.
There's always a queue when I go in here even when I'm purchasing one or two products. They don't do self serve, which is okay because I like the personal touch.
What isn't okay is the mostly elderly shoppers who take too long to get their items checked out and fumble with their little wallets suddenly shocked that they need to take their card out to pay.
I don't understand that. Like, during the process of all your items being scanned, and as the total amount steadily increases, the next logical step is to get your card ready to complete the transaction.
What are you thinking about? I would like it if the IGA workers reminded the elderly patrons of the store to have their wallets at-the-ready so that they do something beyond staring into the near distance with that Krispy Kreme glazed look in their eyes.
I love my Nanna, but I would hate to be in a queue behind her while in a rush. Perhaps different lines for the elderly, who can stay and chat and fumble with their personal belongings, and another line for people who actually have stuff to do that day and contribute to society in a meaningful way.
Again, don't have to use these solutions, merely a suggestion. Please stop shopping here if you aren't going to be ready to pay when they ask you.
HUGE range! If you're looking for something you cannot get at other supermarkets, this is your place!
One of the better IGAs out there. Excellent selection of products and good operating hours. Great bottleshop attached as well.
Good range of products
A lot of different type of sauces, great for bbq.
They have snacks, drinks and yogurt not found in bigger retailers. Plus they stick new products regularly.
Fantastic IGA with a great selection of products to stock your pantry with no matter the cuisine. A particular focus on independent producers.
The best supermarket been going here for years now and ive never left unhappy. Gr8 service with friendly staff so impressed
A strange mix of milk bar items that are overpriced and odd gourmet items that are also, overpriced. IGA used to be a cheaper, smaller feel place with reasonable pricing.so why is it trying to emulate the upmarket specialty food shops. Pretentious and disappointing
When i entered the store, i was harrassed by an employee called david who told me i couldnt buy what i wanted, i asked him why, and he made a comment about my ethnicity, suffice to say, i will not be going back.
Reliable supermarket with a nice selection of specialist foods. Vegan selection pretty good. Fruit and veg is serviceable. It would be nice if they opened a bit earlier than 8am.
So many quality local and imported offerings that it's impossible to leave empty handed. Great selection for hamper making.
Melbourne's Mecca of hot sauce. If you're looking for something more than boring old tabasco and sriracha, this is where you should be.
I am writing to advertise the fact that David Tolani a 16 year old tool called me the n-word as i walked in and when i asked for assistance he took me to the chicken section. DONT COME TO THIS STORE WHILE THIS PERSON IS WORKING!
Good place for quick shopping. Lots of stuff to look for. Parking is at the rear but it's limited to a few vehicles. No proper parking at Sydney road. Seems a bit busy all-day
Great selection! So much more than your big brand supermarkets. Great deli items, international foods, heaps of local produce and an isle of hot sauce!
Keep away from this store especially deli.they will charge you much more than what you asked for.my mother ordered 350 grams of ham at 13.99kg.when she arrived home she looked at price it was 25.99kg.this is not a mistake its criminal to take advantage of pensioners.shame on you iga for employing unworthy people
Good vego range
Edit: Haha, trying to remember why I gave 3 now. Might be that sometimes stock is a bit low and near expiration date. But still, some interesting stuff there.
In terms of range, this would have to be one of the best IGAs I've ever been to in my life. They have some INcredible stuff there, catering to both the needs of the more traditional multicultural community of the location and the more recent influx of gentrifiers. Caters to lots of "dietary requirements" - plenty of GF and plant based options. They also regularly have trolleys full of bargain basement buys!
I went to IGA IN Sydney rd. It was beautiful they the best of everything the best fine food in the area. Excellent costumer service always smile on their face very friendly reasonable prices. Love it.
Absolutely fantastic range of fresh and refined products, not to mention it's an irawarra sourdough supplier
