Sunshine Marketplace reviews
70 We went to village cinemas here and watched the new Wonka movie with the kids. Went to the late night session and Gold class, which was empty besides us.
The cinema was immaculate, the chairs comfy and the food great. The staff were really helpful and patient given we have 5.boisterous kids.
Would definitely recommend.
Not overly busy, well stocked a bit pricey especially in holidays though, however everything's been beautiful
Losing a lot of the shops so the place is looking tired. Clearly the rents are driving businesses out.
Descent shopping centre though not any big brands here but got every thing you expect from suburban shopping centre. And it got excellent cinema
Its a shame the foodcourt staff don't seem too fussed about wearing masks properly.
Very busy, avoid peak times.
Cinema is fine.
Nice to have access to stuff close to home but its not the best shopping centre. A bit run down.
I mostly just go for Woolworths (again, not at peak times) and the Parcel Lockers.
Couldn't use the parents room. Was locked and the number I should call give a message saying the service was closed.
As a market place this generally has everything you need.
A varied food court, clean bathrooms, movie theatre, pharmacy, opticians, supermarket, hairdressers, clothing and gift store and much more. Down side is parking isn't great.
Good place. Had cinemas, food and a bit of shopping. Nice place to have a visit and enjoy yourself.
Convenient and fun local shopping centre but really needs a renovation and major extension. Sunshine is central to the west and is lacking a proper shopping centre, locals deserve something bigger and better! Sunshine is growing more popular, especially with future plans for the airport rail! We need more love down here, invest in the west!
Sunshine shopping centre is very remarkable for me, and I was a homeless around the area for 4 years, and almost every day I was in this shopping centre, to eat, and use the toilet and shop around, that's why it's remarkable memory for me.
Always hilarious when the junkies yell at you for trying to stop them stealing stuff from Woolworths ️
I think the management should talk to store owners about some renovation. The place looks old and gloomy from McDonald's entrance and bright and shiny on the other side.
Nice place in general.
Small shopping centre but has essentials including big W, Woolworths, and many smaller retailers. Plenty of parking spaces.
Terrible anz bank decided they are closing at 1pm atm, not sure how you are able to do business banking, so annoyed!
Abut lost here to find where was about to go but went alright, many shops with lots of car parking spaces, would straggle getting out, had good experience shopping here, outstanding customer service at Australian post and some other stores, locally recommended,
Public health information services for people with a disability in Australia including those who have recently become involved with their health
ACCESSIBILITY:
There are two wheelchair accessible bathrooms, however one of them has been out of order for over 3 weeks and the other has frequent maintainence issues with the door.
COVID:
All entrances have hand sanitizer stations, although only one (the side that has the car park) has a paper check system that you can use without a newer model mobile phone on hand.
MISC:
There are frequently gangs of cops patrolling, they have a habit of harrassing locals rather aggressively. Stay safe.
Average suburban shopping centre, features Woolworths, Big W, JB Hi-fi and Village Cinemas. Given how big the car park is, I wish they'd have put a bit more thought into parking for bikes. There's a few racks randomly placed here and there but I don't like using them at night because there's always dodgy characters hanging around the entrance and I've had my bike alarm triggered a couple of times, presumably by characters looking for attachments to nick.
Lockdown day 200. Life goes on-line. BigW requires ordering online and runs by notification by SMS and e-mail confirmation. Order number required for click n collect, otherwise in store works at Woolworths / Safeway still and life goes on!
Sunshine shopping centre is all you could expect from an excellent shopping centre and precinct. From supermarkets, chemist's, sporting goods stores, speciality stores, banks, ATM's and eateries, if you can't find what your looking for within the centre itself there are numerous businesses as well as entertainment, finance and others to numerous to mention within walking distance. The public transport hub just minutes away includes a bus interchange as well as Victoria's excellent suburban train station just 3 minutes walk from all you could need. A special mention should go out to the staff at Cash Converters, normally I wouldn't recommend such businesses however experience has shown me that the staff do the best they can to assist with any short term financial needs you may have having shown a genuine interest in their customers rather than just making a quick buck. Also JB HI-FI deserve a special mention as their staff are extremely helpful and go the extra mile to assist with your needs. Lastly the fruit and veg market on the corner is full of fresh fruit and veg daily at great prices. Granted these businesses probably wouldn't remember myself, my partner or our white American Bulldog but they treat everyone with the same professionalism you would expect. Thank you Sunshine for a great place to shop.
