Sunrise Indian Restaurant reviews
44This restaurant is amazing. Such a beautiful family ran restaurant that remember all their guests and provide great service. The food is delicious of course!
Worst customer service. I ordered biryani it was microwaved meat was cold. Very bad experience.
Need to learn the meaning of customer service, it was pretty much non-existent. Very poor experience.
Meat was obviously undercooked,
Garlic naan was delicious and the vindaloo and butter chicken sauce was delicious. But the chicken was barely cooked at all. Maybe it spent 3 or 4 seconds on a grill to get just barely above raw? Tasted like about 5 seconds of cooking time maximum. The lamb was 50/50, some pieces very soft and tasty, others did not chew quite right and felt almost a little undercooked. I read a review of this place from 2 years ago with the same complaint. Undercooked meat just thrown on a grill for 3 seconds then thrown in the sauce, it appears that nothing has changed in 2 years, thanks for some lovely vindaloo and butter chicken, the sauces were fantastic and the naan also high quality. But I would never order from this place again because I am not interested in undercooked meat thanks.
I understand that a restaurant wants to turnover the order quickly but this is ridiculous and is scaring off the customers because the meat is simply undercooked. Good luck.
Went there for takeaway to give it a try.
Chef came out and took our order with his recommendation we got chicken curry and kadhi paneer and roti. Both the dishes tasted pretty Mush the same and was very blend and no spices at all.
The roti was so fat and raw and very hard to eat. Need to use rolling pin if you can that would be great.
Loving coming here. Great food and VERY reasonable pricing. The owner is very nice and the food is always delicious!
I ordered Butter Chicken, Beef Vindaloo and Palak Paneer. All curries were a good standard in my opinion. Chicken was properly marinated and cooked in a tandoor. Beef vindaloo was plenty spicy. Salt level was not too high. Other curry shops around here have fake sauces and far too salty, but Sunrise is perfectly acceptable and I'll be returning.
Our favourite Indian take away. Reasonably priced and super quick. Quality has been consistent for the many years we’ve been ordering.
Will rate is very poorly. On entry, one has a glance of the kitchen and it appears to be extremely untidy. Barring this initial jolt, the food is at best bland and at worst, uneatable. No spice, no salt and literally no taste. The whole experience was a big let down. Unhygienic and tasteless place.
Been coming here for probably 10 years now. That's says a lot. This place has stood the tests of time. Great food, not as expensive as some too. Thanks Anita
Great food at reasonable prices. Staff are very attentive. The butter chicken is extremely tasty and so is the palak paneer. Great local spot, been coming here for years.
Love Sunrise, been dining in and getting takeaway for years. Mixed grill, woodland mushrooms are highly recommended.
Ordered a Butter Chicken & Lamb Korma with Naan and Aloo Paratha for takeaway.
Chicken and Lamb were both good. A good mix of flavours for the unique taste buds out there
Aloo paratha was a bit a bland, lacked flavour.
Prompt & tidy service; richly tasty flavours in all pieces ordered (2x lamb dishes, breads, snacks), decent quality ingredients combined well & cooked to elevation.
One of the best Indian restaurant in city with good quality food and affcourse great hospitality, friendly staff. I would recommend my friends and family to visit
Experienced a very pleasant dining at Sunrise restaurant. Delicious food and fantastic service with attention to detail. Friendly staff especially the supervisor, Ankit and the owner, Anita. I would certainly recommend Sunrise, if you’re looking for an exceptional dining.
Great value for money long staying Indian restaurant with pleasant ambience. Our favourites here include tandoori chicken, chicken kali mirch (black pepper sauce) and aloo baingan subzi (eggplant & potatoes). The cheap and cheery Indian restaurant every neighbourhood should have.
Great hospitality and delicious food. Started with samosa and sizzling hot Chicken Tikka for entree. We had most delicious and well-presented Chilly Chicken, Chicken Korma, Lamb, Rice, Butter Naan and Aloo Paratha. Finished with warm and fresh Gulaab Jamun. Had an amazing experience, If I am in Melbourne again, I would love to go there again to try other dishes.
The best Indian curry in Melbourne. I’m happy to know this restaurant and appreciate to m I Indian friend who recommended this place. Guy’s try specially dal makhni it’s so yummmmmm
It’s not an Indian restaurant and he is not Indian. He is just fooling people. Last night we ordered tandoori chicken and he gave in 5 minutes. The chicken was spoiled and it’s not fresh one. It’s not tandoori chicken what he gave and when we cald him and questioned he just tried to tell that he has applied some cream and I sold 6 orders and only you guys calling. He don’t know how to talk or accept his mistakes.
Please avoid these people and spend your money in valuable Indian restaurant. Not fit to give even single review. This is second time happening from past 1 month.
