Sunbury Downs College reviews
11I go here and this school is ok, it's pretty average, but much better than my primary school (Killara)
DO NOT send your children to this school.teachers will bully, degrade and victim blame students
I graduated just last year when the school was under the new principal, Mr. Warwick Beynon. The school has since taken a more well-being centric approach towards students, and has since been extraordinary with empathy for one another, even with my peer's attitudes towards each other, not just on a professional level. My teachers had continuously gone the extra mile for myself and each of my classmates.
If you would like your children to feel heard and appreciated, I completely recommend going to SDC because I am confident they will do what they can to lift up your kids and encourage them.
From a curricular standpoint, the topics are digestible, and the teachers encourage students to meet with them after school or during breaks so that they can offer additional support if they don't quite understand their concepts. Beautiful teaching and really good classes.
The it are the worst, Last principle made most of the good teachers leave, now school is just boring.
The gym is lifeless and has no colour in it. It is all dull brown bricks and the rest of the colours on the walls are black. It looks lifeless and the only nice colours in the place are the basketball backboards and sports lines on the floor. If you like looking at a nice looking basketball stadium then don't come to this school
The principal, Maria Oddo, always turns conversations to be about her, as soon as she became principal the good teachers left, timetables changed and there was a general sense of chaos amongst everyone in the school. The teaching is inadequate and the only half decent thing about the school is that the students get to see people they get along with, occasionally. It seems that Maria's best interests aren't in the student's well-being at all, rather the schools appearance to the outside world. She has gone as far to make this public school appear to be more of a private school.
Bad school only has bogans not enough ethnic people also canteen is haram and its all against the name of allah inshallah i will tell my local mosque to come down here and show the aussies real ethnic food at the cnateen mashallah cuz
Ya yeet dab on them hater i like mineeecraft i am part of the cool kid klub i like yes you jacob
Very bad experience, the school principal ms oddo is very immature and cant deal with different students and familys.very incapable of her job and needs to let go.highly recommend not attending this school.
The school principal 'Maria Oddo ' didn't set an great first impression for my mum and i. We went there to hope that it would be a great school but the way that she presented herself to us made us feel very uncomfortable and awkward seeing as she was physically yelling at my mum and constantly muttering under breath as if we were bad people.
So if I was to recommend a public school in Sunbury I highly recommend Sunbury college who are more understanding of family situation and they don't make you feel awkward. Because just remember first impression's are everything
And Maria Oddo if you ever see this take this into consideration of how you treat families of who enter your school and improve you respect to others
One of the best College in Western suburbs. Not crowdy, skilled and highly professional staff, great IT infrastructure.
