Sturt Street Gardens reviews
15Nice spark of colour and variety along with the history of statues. The council keeps the greenery green, neat and tidy, Lovley.
Lovely place to eat lunch, art, flowers and plenty to see and interact with. Brilliant during covid times where lots of places have switched to takeaway only
Always well maintained and a pleasure to observe while gridlocked between school zones on Sturt Street during school drop-off & pick-up times.
How about some street entertainers, ie, a historical society's brass band?
Thanks Ballarat council for making this experience so much more aesthetic
Ballarat remains a beautiful and green Victorian (in both period aesthetic and geographical location) city. Whilst various attempts have been made to refocus of function before form, the city has retained much of its character. The gardens in the middle of Sturt Street contribute a large part of the atmospheric resilience of Ballarat, buy food in Armstrong street, wander into these gardens, take a seat and enjoy a part of the unique charm of this city
Sturt Street looks very tired in some places. Lots of empty buildings. But the gardens are lovely.
Christmas decorations are beautiful and tasteful. The gardens are well maintained are a delight.
Beautiful display at Christmas it was such a wonderful sight and surrounded in so much history it was just grand
Stuart street gardens and statues are wonderful in spring it's a pity they will be ruined by a bicycle path. The money would be better spent on roads south of sturt street
Well worth a trip. Nice benches to rest and observe. Christmas decorations are worth a trip too at the end of November. The reindeer exhibit by the Botanical Gardens is a favourite.
The gardeners do a humungous job in keeping these standard bearer city, known as The Garden City at such a high standard.welcoming all visitors and locals alike.
The gardens run along the main street, if your interested in a stroll, it's not bad, a lot of statues and monuments to Ballarat and its history.
Amazing fun place. In heart of Ballarat, nice sculptures. Very convenient all the groceries, restaurants are on walking distance.
AN AMAZING HISTORICAL GARDEN STRIP RUNNING ALONG BALLARAT'S MAIN STREET
Sturt Street Gardens is a little oasis of green with statuary depicting luminaries from early European settlement. Has a very oldy-worldy feel to it.
Great place for a single White Male of indeterminate age to "Tarry" and watch Ballarat go by. Oh! And Families
Fantastic for Ballarat to have this and these on a sunny day are worth the trip to Ballarat alone.
