I think the review describing this as a "hole" is intentionally misleading. No, this is not a chain supermarket; just don't assess it on its lack of a soundtrack and uniformed staff. The fresh food prices and provisions are very competitive. The range is primarily focused on fresh foods (fruit/veg) and middle eastern products that you won't find at W's/C's. Don't expect the carefully hand-selected AAA-grade-only boxes of fruit, and you'll do fine - remember, this is a market, not a French restau. There is a small selection of other weekly needs and everything else necessary, but no butcher here. For anything missing, you can certainly run to the KFL or other spots nearby. I am glad to find this spot.

Cheap fruit & vegetables. Price is very good however quality is inconsistent. Then again, fruit is a gamble.

Rude staff serving at the counter with a bad attitude, rotting fruit and vegetables on the shelf that are clearly inedible. This place is run down and on the verge of collapse, the health inspectors need to be called in to review.

Will never go back and spend my money in this place HOLE.

Last year I visited to buy some vegetables and I felt, management treated customer as a THIEF. So be careful prior to go to This Strawberry Point. You may end up calling Police to rescue you. Very very unprofessional people who are running the business and should not be part of this beautiful suburb and this country. DO NOT GO STRAWBERRY POINT.

I wish I could give half a star or no stars. I've lived in forest hill for a few months now and I've always favoured farmers market over my local coles or woolies. However I've had my fill with this establishment. I've bcome a regular since I've been in forest hill and I'm honestly going to have to go elsewhere. There is one cashier that is incredibly pleasant. She's very young and vibrant and has impeccable customer service. However this isn't enough for me to give a better review because the rest of the staff especially the cashiers are horrendously rude (except the one I mentioned earlier) I don't even want to speak to them. I'll be standing waiting to be served and they can see me and no one does anything until I guess I've stood there long enough to recieve some form of service. I would honestly rather travel the extra km's to go to another farmers market than this one and spend my money with a company who values their customers.

A well stocked green grocer with a variety of produce. A blend of eastern and western veggies, spices and condiments. Highly recommended. You'll find everything you need.

This is a good place to buy relatively cheap fruit and vegetables. Although sometimes the quality is not as is found in the supermarkets across the road. Consequently you need to balance your preference for cost versus quality for any specific product. Having said that I shop here frequently as a discerning buyer.

I've shopped here for a long time now. Great variety without the pricetag. Needs to stop plastic wrapping random veg though.

I used to shop here regularly and the checkout girls were great, but not anymore. Now you are treated as if being a nuisance to be served on. Some fresh produce should not be offered, as it is mouldy. I avoid the store now.

Very rude manager and staff members. Quality control is a big concern. Don’t recommend this place at all.

Quality of products is gone a bit down, which is nothing compared with customer service I received on my last three visits to the store from two different cashiers. Their obvious personal dislike should not be so evident to customer. I have been shopping there for years now and have witnessed with great sadness that business is declining but I loved the hard working owners and always had pleasant experience in the store. Lately due to rudeness, and unpleasant cashiers I am considering going elsewhere. Change your attitude as it looks to me you need every customer you can get. Best wishes to the owners and I hope they will provide front staff with some customer service!

Not totally horrible. Not overly appealing either.
Dead atmosphere. Staff/management seem to be on autopilot or battery saver mode.

Quality of the products are very poor since the new management. They are selling decayed and moulded vegetables and fruits. Last week we visited this place and could see moulded capsicums and tomatoes with offer price. Please throw them out rather than selling them.

They don't bother answering the phone. Staff are young, untrained and were rude when asked to lower the radio volume that's so loud it's hard to speak and be heard.

Horrendous experience of customer service. Extremely rude behavior of manager and cashier. Manager was shouting, arguing loudly and pointing finger at customer instead of calmly resolving issue, no patience at all. Frozen vegetables are over priced, coriander quality was poor and so on. Even though they start giving everything for free I would not go there. No wonder why majority of reviews are bad.

First time is the last time for shopping groceries there. Not fresh at all, maybe not too many customers to go there. And also customer service young woman with the poker face, no body own her a million dollars.

They maybe cheaper than other fruit suppliers, but very poor quality. I tried them few times and every single time, I was terribly disappointed. I end up throwing away some of the fruits. Terrible. If you are after quality, don't waste your time and money on this place.

Can sometimes find good bargains, however they are generally overshadowed by low quality, not fresh produce. Quality control is practically non existent (see photo of produce on shelf) Staff don’t seem to care

Shop here sometimes over the years and overall they have reasonable prices and a nice selection of fruits and veggies. The quality of the some of the produce has dropped somewhat, maybe new management?

I was there this morning (7: 10am) looking to purchase meat but was annoyed when I went in and noticed a sign on the butchers door that said they weren't selling any meat. I wished they had advertised that clearly on their facebook to save me the trip. It looked empty. I was going to buy some fruits and vegetables but noticed that staff hadn't finished unpacking most of the produce and front shelves were still empty. In the future I'd try coming maybe 30min to an hour after opening time so all produce were ready.

The staff were always fine to me.

There looks to be a new big Asian grocery store about to open next door to this one, not sure when it will officially open but competition might make them both better.
