Stratford on the River Tourist Park

Louise the owner was aggressive and rude. Told fully grown adults “it’s bed time” at 10pm on a long weekend around a fire and came with a bucket a water and aggressively threw it on the fire with kids around resulting in their eyes being burnt. We got the refund we asked for, park is dog friendly, but not people friendly. No wonder it was empty Aus day weekend.

The place is very nice. The places are big enough. The lady in the office was incredibly friendly. The toilets and showers were clean. A few smaller spiders live there on the ceilings, but they're not a problem. We were there 3 nights. 35 dollars per night. Immediately again.

As first time caravaners this park was FABULOUS, Louise at reception was wonderful, supa friendly & supa helpful and we could bring our old dog too, we will be back for sure, thankyou Mark and Haylie

We stayed here on our way to the Sapphire Coast. Great park & the amenities were some of the cleanest we have seen. We will be booking in again on our return journey.

Great position, welcoming hosts, tidy park, excellent camp kitchen and nice clean amenities.

Very thoughtfully made guests warm in the bathrooms and camp kitchen. Clean and lovely park.

Amazing place!
Stayed here for 5 days, the area is beautiful, right on the Avon River with water access and a walking trail nearby.
The room was fantastic, has everything you need. The beds were so cozy it was hard to get up in the morning!
Highly recommend this place for anyone whos staying at Stratford.

Recently my wife Maggie and I together with our much loved Cavalier spaniel ‘Danny Boy’ had the absolute pleasure to spend an overnight stay on two separate occasions at this beautiful park. The park contains cabins and excellent caravan sites. We ‘broke’ the road trip from Melbourne to Merimbula at ‘Riverside’ and loved it so much we stayed again on our return trip. On both occasions we were delighted to meet the owner/ operators Shaun & Louise who were most helpful and ‘caring’ hosts. The cabins were pre-warmed which was a very pleasant, thoughtful and an unexpected surprise. Some cabins have beautiful river views and fire pits are abundant around this immaculately maintained park. There is a playground, bike hire, access to a beautiful Town swimming pool and book exchange. All facilities including the cabins are ‘dog friendly’, lockable gates on the decks are a great advantage. The nearby and walking distance Avon Hotel is super and has a great bar and stunning meals are served in the bar or bistro. Stratford is a great little town and the Riverside Tourist Park is amazing, perhaps the best we have stayed in with either our caravan our in cabins. It is indeed a credit to Shaun & Louise. This has been the BEST park so far in our travels. Louise is a wonderful hostess ever. Nothing was too much trouble. Her staff were very friendly too. Thanks again and Terry will be back to get more gold

A warm welcome, great location, short walk to the shops (5 mins), green grass, well maintained property, and clean amenities.why would you go anywhere else. PS, motorcycle and pet friendly

Basic caravan park, good for a stopover. Nice spot by the river and a good drive-thru spot which makes it easy. There’s a pool with a pump or something that turns on and off every few minutes all night.

The response below isn’t for me because I don’t even own a dog but find i do find it funny that we are clearly not the only ones you’ve annoyed.

What a beautiful serene place, so restful, amenities and facilities kept exceptionally clean

Been coming here for years. It is a beautiful park to stay at, has everything you need and for summer it even has a pool.

Clean, neat, picturesque park by the river. Nice grassed caravan sites. Amenities clean and fresh. Nice touch was the hanging mat to stand on in the showers. Good television room and camp kitchen. Walking distance to town. All in all an excellent park that has a charming feel.

Great little park. We had the option of by the highway or at other end of park. Lovely walking areas to take the dog's. Clean amenities, bakery, butcher, IGA in walking distance. Very nice.

Appreciate Louise making such an effort to ensure my friends could check in. Great service, much appreciated. Looking forward to heading back to Stratford myself in the near future - have stayed at the park before and it was great.
