Dropped in today to pick up the Tomb Mold pre-order, and after a lovely chat with Gram trading recommendations, walked out with another two albums on top.

Great selection of records for those with varied and weirder tastes, and excellent service both in store and online. HIGHLY recommended.

Richie is an awesome guy with a great taste in music, and he’s always willing to recommend his latest picks (certainly got me into some stuff that I NEVER would have come across by chance). Strange world (unsure if it’s a reference to one of my favourite Iron Maiden songs) is where I go to find the stuff I know I won’t find anywhere else. The store is well laid out and browsing is comfortable.

Strangely, the shop plays music from a digital source, not vinyl! I think this argues against the store's premise!

Besides this, all vinyl enthusiasts are required to visit here.

I am always suprised how some smaller record stores like Stange Worlds can offer so much to the record buying public. Located in a convienient position with very friendly and knowegable staff, a great range and excellent prices. What more could you want.

Strangeworld is the absolute best record shop in Melbourne! The selection and the variety of music that this store provides is endlessly unreal and i always find myself discovering such amazing, unique garage/psych records that you can't find anywhere else. Kudos to Richie and the rest of the team for their amazing customer service and their efficiency with online orders. They even managed to get one of my orders shipped out in 30 mins once! Hopefully one day I'll be able to find time off work to dig in to some awesome tunes in the store. Cheers legends!

I was pleasantly surprised to find a local distributor for Thee Oh Sees so treated myself to their LE pressing of "A Weird Exits" late one Friday eve and had it spinning come Tuesday morn. It came lovingly packed with plenty of recyclable padding and a free DL of some local music to complement the Oh Sees record. Nice taste matching Richie, I'll be back for seconds soon enough!

One of the best record stores in Melbourne; the selection is top-notch and focused and Richie, the store's owner, is as knowledgeable as he is friendly. I always check the website before I buy elsewhere and 9/10 they will have exactly what I'm looking for. When Richie knew I was trying to find a certain pressing he went out of his way to get one in. Just fantastic. I love this place and if you're a fan of rock, psych, noise you will too. If you're a local or you're in Melbourne checking out record stores do not leave Strangeworld off of your list!
