Strandbags Frankston

I went in there today to get a normal backpack and talk about expensive, $90 to $180. What a rip off, not happy and will never be going back there ever again

Poor service, stood at counter for a good 5 -10 mins while sales women completely ignored me while checking an item on her computer, she then went and placed item back on the shelf! She was not even serving another a customer.

Ailie and the girls @ Strandbags Frankston have been nothing but delightful and helpful with my online order. Willing to go above and beyond with their zest for life and customer service. I highly recommend this store! Keep up the great work ladies I will definitely be back for all my bag requirements!

The staff in this shop were incredibly rude. They failed to even acknowledge us even when we stood in front of them at the counter. I would never step foot in this shop again. PITIFUL.

Both Chloe and Lauren (manager) were so helpful on the phone, their store did not service what I was after, but went out of their way on seperate occasions to try help find a store that did. Really made my day that they helped even though they were not making a sale. Can't wait to actually shop there

Came in Tuesday morning, desperately needing a new bag.the woman that served me was so incredibly nice. She was helpful, polite and funny, made my day actually. Give that woman a raise!
I'll be back for a new wallet soon.

Having checked online for Frankston store opening times I arrived at the store today (20th Jan 2022) at 9am as it indicated this was when they would open. No activity until nearly 9.30 and I know Covid is playing havoc with staff availability! The store assistant looked over to where I was waiting outside and made no attempt to explain why the store was still not open. I waited patiently and eventually after nearly 10 minutes she approached the shutters and said something that I could not make out. When it was apparent that I could not hear she opened the door a fraction and with a surly indifferent attitude stated the computer had only just started and it would be at least another 10-15 mins. No apology nor any indication that this may be inconvenient or attempt to be pleasant. Of course had someone been at the store ahead of the official opening time then perhaps the computer issue would have been identified sooner and not resulted in a late opening. As there was no guarantee that the store would open within the revised time that she had quoted I took my custom elsewhere - a lost sale, loss of goodwill and to be honest I wonder why she works in retail if being polite and gracious is such a challenge. If I need to shop here again I will use the Mornington branch - great staff and service there.

Usually good service but yesterday fill in staff member couldn't find my Click & Collect Order.
I looked on shelf & found identical Carry On Bag I'd purchased & she said they hadn't put it out the back so I could have that one! I even had to ask for a Large Strandbags Bag [plastic] to carry the folded Carry On Bag I purchased.
Fill In Staff should be told if Click & Collect Orders aren't done particularly when I had sms to say it was ready for pickup.
Usually good 5 stars but yesterday 3 stars. Sorry

Wonderful service. Went into the store today explained what i was looking for and she knew right away and she was right. Very kind and helpful. Sprayed the bag with leather protecton for free. Will be going back.

Bought a Colorado mens leather wallet for 30 bucks, I love it! I can see myself having this wallet for years.

I went looking for a bag, just for a trip to Tassie. I've been using the shop for years. I was looking at Kipling and Hedren. I was kindly advised Kipling is better, then the rollercoaster nightmare began.over excited/hard sell time for a purse to match. Luckily someone else needed help and I was left alone only to be pounced on again while holding my chosen Hedren and to be told without hurting my feelings that the small Hedren would look like a purse on me and if I bought a bigger Hedren bag it would look better because she used to be a bigger lady and knows what it looks like.
So because I am overweight it's better to buy a huge Hedren bag though I've got nothing to put in it but it'll suit me better. THANKS GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE NOT

Strandbags list sale prices on their website that don’t get captured ‘in store’. I needed a new wallet so the wife popped in at Frankston to buy the one I liked that was ‘on sale’. Unfortunately the good lady didn’t realise the sale price, and was charged full price. After ringing the store and highlighting the issue I was told it was an ‘online price’. When pressed as to how the consumer was supposed to know when looking at their online store what was an online price only, the salesperson changed direction and advised that you are supposed to mention the online price to be able to get the discount ‘in store’. Advice - Always check online first or always ask if this is your best price before purchasing as in most instances there’s a decent mark-up first before the discount or sale gets applied with the store more than happy to take your money at the substantially elevated mark-up.

The shop has variety of bags and the sales person, bit old lady, very rude and judgmental. It makes us to think that we would never want to that shop again. She must change her attitude towards the customers.

Zohra helped us buy two American Tourister medium size bags and travel adapters for Switzerland and Austria. Zohra had so much information about bags and the adapters. She knew capacity and dimensions by heart of most of the bags. She helped us calculate dimension which bags could be taken in our flights and a few of her top favourite features. Lastly, she gave a demo on how to rightfully use TSA locks. Very happy with my purchase

Poor customer service by this store. Staff member would not price match from another Strandbags store. Very standoff and inpolite mannerism. I will not return to purchase anything from this store. Very disappointed.
