[Note: this relates more to an online purchase which I had elected to click and collect at the store, not the staff in this outlet. ] Nevertheless, this experience was extremely frustrating. While the item was listed as 'in-stock & available for click and collect, ' I was then told that this was incorrect and had to be ordered in. The item was not available prior to my travel plans, and I would not have purchased the item initially had it not been immediately available. What made matters more frustrating was the lack of consistency in the communication thereafter. After receiving an email saying I would receive a refund if not collected, I never received the refund. Upon following up, I was told incorrect information: firstly, that apparently it had been collected in August—despite having received multiple messages from the Forest Hill store after this date that I needed to collect the item—and secondly, was told that they had never received my follow up email regarding a refund, to which I received an auto response. The online bot / Renate were very rude, and unapologetic about my circumstances, effectively accusing me of lying multiple times. It has been extremely frustrating being out of pocket $139 for nearly 6 months, and having to spend so much of my own time to try and have a refund processed. I will never purchase from Strandbags ever again.

Fi was really lovely sorting out my click and collect order. She even went out of her way to buy part of it from another store. She also gave me some advice for getting gift vouchers. Thank you so much!

I bought a travel case, American tourist last month and used that one only 1 time for bus travel. I had a 20 minutes walking after bus travel to reach home.
Nothing was happened that time.
When I tried to put the handle back, I couldn't put it back.
I visited Strandbags Forest Hill and explained what was happened.
A staff gave me a "Repair place" map and advised me that I can hear what they can do from there.
I heard the handle was slightly bent and I have to pay for repair because it was happened by my mistake. I visited Strandbags Forest Hill again and told them what I heard from the repair man.
The staff told me that I may claim bus company for the bag handle was bent.
What an easy to solve problem.
They don't take responsibility on what they are selling in their store.
I don't recommend to buy bags from Strandbags.

It is not the best places to buy bags anymore. They introduced their own brand which have only six months warranty. Please ask before buying.

I’m travelling to Europe in a few months and I had some really handy hints about what kind of luggage to buy and safety for Italy. Holly went above and beyond to give me info that will help me with this and future trips. Would totally recommend.

By far the worst customer service I have ever seen. Racially profiling customers when they walk in is utter nonsense. Who ever the manager is has to get some new staff in. I was so shocked that I had to step in and apologise to the couple because for the first time I was ashamed of that behaviour. Wish I could give no stars.

Worse customer service. We went to buy a bag around 4: 45 pm Saturday but the lady said they are closed. Closing time is 5: 00pm but they are not letting customers in from 4: 45pm.

I visited this shop today as my wife wanted to buy a bag. This was around 12p.m.
The sales assistant, did not approve our entering the shop and did not smile ir even say a word or made us feel welcome.
It was a horrible experience, and then another person walked in and she was like “Hi, can I help you”
we did not buy anything as we were treated badly and my wife purchased the bag from Knox city where the assistant was customer focused

I bought a very expensive Guess Bag there and the handle starting fraying right away. Of course I didn't keep the receipt after this I will. It had a 12 month warranty and I bought it in Feb and it was already falling apart. When I went in to Forest Hill Strandbags, where I bought it, to talk to them about the bag, they said they could do nothing without a receipt even though it was obviously faulty. I could not understand why they just could not switch it over and send the faulty bag back to Guess. No loss to them. However what really upset me was when the manager then said, "I don't even recognise that bag as our stock". That was rude and insulting. I then proceeded to another Strandbags closer to my home. This manager immediately said, "Yes, we know that bag, yes Guess have a problem with the handles. Let us swap it over for you with a leather bag. " No questions asked. I would not recommend buying at this Strandbags store with this ethic toward customers. Also, if you become a customer, Strandbags will automatically store your receipt and you will have your 12 month warranty.
